I know its effective in combination with most herbs, and I'm pretty sure I read an explanation of the reason for including it. That was a long time ago and I can't remember for the life of me what that reason was. I haven't been able to find it again anywhere. So what exactly does flaxseed oil do when it comes to BE?

Flaxseed are a source of lignans, which are phyto-estrogens. But be careful about dosage etc.:

Flaxseed are also a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. Since fish oil does not have a good reputation on this board,
flax is probably the best alternative.

Why does fish oil not have a good reputation here? I know girls use it on their butt to try to get it bigger, why do the women here chose flax seed other than fish oil or why is fish oil considered bad around here. Because perhaps rubbing flax seed oil on my butt will be more beneficial than fish oil (plus it stinks ) Thank you for your help, you are very nice btw

Especially if you would choose to increase insulin sensitivity, you will need a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. And there's only
flax, fish, or algal.

I only asked about
flaxseed oil because it is a big part of the basic program that Wahaiaka recommends. He specifically says not to get the kind with lignans. He also says that that there are very little if any phytoestrogens in
flaxseed oil, and that even if there are, that is not the reason he recommends it. I wish I could I could finally find that explanantion he gave

Isabelle, at first I thought this was just an older version of the excellent collection of articles on his board, but I finally managed to notice that one little response ttoa comment where he sorta kinda explains why he recommends the flax. He only says that it's "for general health" and not for "a specific reason". But then why flax seed oil in particular, and why such a large amount? I'm gonna try asking him about it directly. Thanks!
