Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions on things. This particular topic is one of those topics where there really isn't a black and white answer for anything, there are many shades of grey and color all the way through the spectrum.
For myself, I identified as a straight male for 50 years while I fought to hide and deny who I really was. When I finally accepted that (who I really am), the weight I carried, the insufferable burden that had nearly cost me my life, was lifted and I felt a freedom enter my life I have never known before.
The ironic side is I am neither straight, nor male inside. I have always been attracted to women. That was never an issue for me. What was the issue for me was why I was attracted to women. I have no attraction for men at all. Yet I am female inside. That was what was so hard for me to understand at first because I was stuck in the Binary equation of human sexuality. When I finally realized that I could be both female inside and attracted to women only... everything fell into place for me. The facade I developed and wore for 50 years was nothing more than a mask I used to deceive the world, and in many ways, myself. When it fell away... it was like scales falling from my eyes. I could finally SEE myself in totality.
So in my opinion... why a male would want to have breasts falls somewhere in the scale between black and white and all the colors of the spectrum. I don't believe there is just one answer. I do believe there are as many reasons, as there are men who want to have breasts. For myself, I just want to be fully me. And that includes going through the corrective surgeries to remove the erroneous parts of my body and re-sculpt them into the correct parts as I should have been born.
A lot of times people are very sure that how they think is the only possible way anything can be thought like. But my experience is that the human mind is vastly different between individuals and when we try to force something into our pre-conceived thoughts on a subject, we are often very wrong in at least some, if not many cases. The art of human interaction is not to overlay our expectations and thoughts onto one another, but to listen and adapt/adjust our world view to the many different world views that exist.
In other words, you can't really put a 4cm square peg into a 2cm round hole without losing a lot of that 4cm square peg in the process. Rather, we should learn to accept the square peg for what it is, and marvel at it's individuality and uniqueness, just as we marvel at the 2cm round peg for it's individuality and uniqueness. Because each peg, is unique and marvelous in it's own right.
