You know, Angie Noelle, I don't know if it works best with more honey than water.
Honey is on the acidic side, and water has a neutral ph. To let the honey release some hydrogen peroxide, the ph has to be between 5.5 and 8.
So if you put more honey, the solution would be around a ph of 4, for example. Too acidic for H2O2, I mean.
I know that the ph in the eye is higher (ph of tears and ph of aqueous humor is around 7-7.5) so it reach the ph of the solution, but, honey need more time to release more H2O2, maybe.
And, why do you boil your water before putting a chamomile tea bag ?
