Areola Questions

#1

I am wondering if any of you ladies who have grown significantly at least two cup sizes if you have experienced areola growth??

It is just a concern as I would like mine to stay as they are but since they are growing, I wonder if the areolas change often?

would BO make them grow?

I notice many women with large breasts have larger or large areolas. I wonder if there are special enzymes in BO that cause this??

Hello tibetan Smile
I haven't grown much. It seems that I'm keeping what I have achieved last month and I noticed that my areola is slightly larger than before. I don't really like that change but I think maybe because the skin around the breast has stretch a bit and so the areola Wink

So I think it's just normal for areola to change while growing your breasts. Don't worry Big Grin

Areolae usually enlarge as a result of pregnancy (with or without breastfeeding). Mine grew then, but haven't increased further since I've increased my cup size.Huh I think because, relatively speaking, I didn't have a large increase (DD to G). Looking at the link you included confirmed what I've suspected: my nipples are too small for my areolae. That's my next project.Big Grin

I was wondering if its genetically determined as I see women with fairly large breasts and small areolas.

I think there are lots of variables to consider. Race, heredity, breast size, whether the woman has bared a child, whether she breastfed or not, etc. etc. I think areolas are different for everyone. Mine are in the mid range in the scale you posted, but I have seen women that had ones as big as coffee plates. I wish mine were smaller but I know it could be worse. I think the best thing to do when it comes to breasts, nipples, and areolas is to embrace what you have.

What irritated me, was on one of the consultations I had with a surgeon inquiring about fat transfer augmentation, he started listing off the areas he was going to lipo and explained how he would be injecting in the breasts, then he said something about decreasing the size of my areolas through surgery. I never ONCE asked for it. I asked for fat transfer, I said I wanted to lose some fat in my midsection, round out my breasts and make them 1-2 cup sizes bigger. So it kind of irritated me that he assumed I wanted to change my nipples. The point of me saying all that is... I think because of all the superficial beauty that is out there with the media. Including how our breasts are "suppose" to look, I think there's the same for nipples/areolas, which sucks.

This is so true. I have learned to appreciate larger areolas overtime as mine aren't exactly small. I am the low end of mid range. The more they have filled out, the more proportionate they look.

If your breasts just grow a little bit, the change won't usually be too great. But those with a lot of breast growth will see a large difference in their nipples (generally). But they usually tend to stay to the same starting proportion to the breast, I think (although sometimes they'll grow more or less). Pregnant women will usually see a huge amount of growth in their areola-to-breast ratio, and at the same time, I've known a girl who gained 200+lbs in three months and still has almost non-existant nipples and areolas.

Like Anastasia said, you've gotta learn to embrace what you've been given. Whatever type of nipple/breast/areolas you've been given, there are men out there with a fetish for your particular kind, and even others who will love your breasts whether or not it is something they would personally choose.

I wish my areolas weren't puffy, and that they were larger. They've always been very tiny (although because they are so puffy, from the sides they look very large). With my NBE so far, they've actually grown a good bit, and are a little bit bigger on my breasts than they used to be, although the change still isn't too different. :/ You can only tell looking at my before and current pics side-by-side. They're still very small on my breasts. It makes me somewhat self-conscious, but I think once they smooth out, I'll be able to accept the size.

I have noticed that my areolas itch like crazy every once in a while, which is a sign that the skin is stretching and the areola is slowly growing. As much as I hate it (it's so embarrassing having to itch my nips all day long!), I've grown to like it, just for the simple fact that I know my areolas are growing. Although I imagine someone with slower growth might not get this symptom.

Yep, while I grow in NBE my nipples itch, that's a sign of growth. I don't necessarily think it's the nipples themselves growing, but possibly that your hormone levels are high. My nipples are the same size they were in the beginning of my NBE journey. Given, I had a child before NBE and I breastfed. Before NBE mine were puffy, they "filled in" I guess? But aren't bigger. I mean they became flatter than they were but are the same size if that makes sense.

I've read that itching is a sign of skin stretching (in general), so I'm sure the same goes for areolas (although I'm also sure some of the itching is also general tissue growth inside the breasts from NBE).
Like I said, my areolas are small if you're looking at them straight-on, but if you look from the side, because they are puffy, they look bigger. So I guess if mine were to "fill in" as you said, they'd in a way be a little bit bigger from the front than I began with, without actually growing in size...if that makes sense...it's hard to explain my kind of logic...Rolleyes

Wow. Your surgeon sounds like a jerk. That would upset me too. I don't know what to say except that what he said was completely unnecessary and wrong. If YOU don't see a problem with your areolas then there ISNT ONE. This is about what you want, not what want men want or what society wants. Sorry for the rant but your story is upsetting. How insensitive of him. He probably just wanted to make an extra buck and/or assumed you wanted fake looking "porn star" boobs. Regardless, im sure your areola are perfect the way they are and will go great with your new breast after the transfer. *Hugs* Smile
