Magnetic Therapy Can't Conquer Arthritis Pain

#1

Wearing a magnetic bracelet won't help you fight arthritis pain, according to a new study. Magnetic bracelets are a form of magnetic therapy, a type of alternative medicine based on the theory that magnetic fields can promote healing when administered directly to the body.

For the study, researchers recruited 45 people (ages 50 or over) who suffered from osteoarthritis. For 16 weeks, each participant wore one of four devices in a random order: two wrist straps with differing levels of magnetism, a demagnetized wrist strap, and a copper bracelet. Study results showed no significant difference between the devices in terms of their ability to reduce pain, ease stiffness, and improve physical function.

While magnetic therapy may not help relieve osteoarthritis pain, past research suggests that other alternative approaches (such as acupuncture, yoga, and glucosamine supplements) may help manage the condition.

The primary cause of facet arthritis is spinal degeneration which typically occurs in later life. In that case there is the pain which is typically worse in the sleep. Pain associated with facet arthritis may be exacerbated by twisting or bending backwards. So, magnetic therapy can't conquer the pain of the arthritis.

Bracelet magnetic therapy is certainly a science alternative. It is an approach to healing that has been around for several centuries and was used in ancient times. However, the benefits of this ancient science has not yet been determined by the rational organisation and scientific knowledge that can be used today.

Several studies report that pulsed electromagnetic fields improve healing of fractures of the long bones of the lower leg (tibia) that have failed to heal properly after several weeks. Pulsed electromagnetic fields may also be useful for fracture healing of the largest bone in the wrist (scaphoid), the foot bones (metatarsals) and the vertebrae, although there is less research in these areas. It is not clear if pulsed electromagnetic fields are equal to or better than other techniques for fracture, such as bone grafting. These procedures should be performed only by qualified specialists and should first be discussed with your health care provider.

It's very unlikely that professional medical specialists would approve most alternative methods of healing. They have a big stake in modern health care and would do anything to quash real-life testimonials of successful patients using alternative methods of healing such as magnetic therapy..I am open in exploring various alternative methods of healing and thank God I found this forum..

It really does give DEEP massage, cos if she press my finger hard on her breasts to her ribs while its on, i can feel the sensation right through her breasts , its quite powerful (as she found out whilst fiddling lol) but she's very happy, she got to level 3 on the kneading setting, but can only go to level 2 on the squeezing settin as it really does feel like someone is groping your boobs plus she can see her boobs moving (think exorcist lol) she's definitaely postive this will firm breasts, could prob make them grow quite well too if you got the guts to take the settings to a higher level.
