The overbust method is just a more unreliable version of plus 4. It's used to squeeze people into a narrower selection of sizes. For example, I measure 32 overbust and 32.5 bust so the calculator puts me in 32AA even though I completely fill a 32B.
Well, looks like one method does not fit all. I am underbust 34, over 40, which puts me at 38B by underbust method, but for over bust method I am 40AA, which fits me more accurately. My breast are muscular beneath due to my daily exercise, but they are not large. I like them since they fit me well though. See post#68 below for my pic:
