List of doctors using autologous fat transfer (sometimes with brava)

#1

Dear all
I have also researched for doctors performing Autologous fat breast augmentation. Often this is combined with the use of a Brava device.

Here are my results:

Luxu, isn't this fantastic? I've been following this distantly since I first read about it online about six months ago. Back then, the Japanese were the only ones doing it (and I think a doctor in Switzerland). I can't believe how quickly it's spread. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE FUTURE OF PLASTIC SURGERY, PEOPLE!

I think there are probably still some issues to be worked out. For instance, you have to have liposuction to get the original cells, meaning you need a certain amount of fat on your body. However, if you look at the before and afters on the Japanese site, all the females are very thin and they consider that normal-sized. They even have a more careful lipo procedure for the females that they consider thin, which are very bony.

The only place where I was able to find testimonials by people who had the procedure was on that Japanese site (sorry this was six months ago). Some of the girls did say that there was dimpling from the lipo, even though they use the least invasive form, which is a very thin needle and a water vibration suction rather than a big ol' tube with a vacuum. They still experienced extreme burning pain at the donor site, but I don't think this would be a problem with the way we use pain killers over here.

Another thing that people are worried about with the cultivation of stem cells from fat (which is very effective, like 1000 times more effective than from bone marrow), put into the breast is that they may reproduce new growth and be out of control, leading to breast cancer. I don't think that's a serious risk, but theoretically I can see why it would be a mild concern for long-term health.

My biggest concern with the whole thing is damage to the donor site through liposuction, with dimpling and unnatural fat distribution in the body. I just think that stuff becomes more obvious as you age. Look at Madonna's arms, or Tom Cruise's chest. I don't want to mess with my body in that way.

Also, they can only increase your breast size by one or two cups, and much of that could eventually be reabsorbed by the body, or worse, form into hard lumps of calcification.

So I was thinking... these cells can divide and increase in number, can't they? Couldn't that potentially be infinite? Why are we limited to using just the fat and dormant stem cells that we already have? We should be able to take an extremely small amount from the body, coax them to multiply in a culture, stop their multiplication at a satisfactory level, and then inject them into the breasts either in a much larger quantity than is currently possible, or in comparable quantities slowly over time. Doing it over time would give the body more time to build a natural framework to support the new tissue. You could even inject these cells back into their original donor site in the exact same quantity and cell ratios as was taken out, leaving no damage.

There is a researcher at MIT who discovered a way to multiply fat cells, where that multiplication could be stopped, without altering their genetic structure. He would simply feed them something that coaxed them to multiply and when finished, remove the food. Being able to stop it is important so as not to create a cancer in the body.

If someone could figure this out, then we could have fat and possibly other types of cells available to us in unlimited quantities. Maybe you want it in your ass, or to smooth out your face. Maybe you want some cheek implants made from your own bone, with minimal damage to other parts of your body. This could also be used for skin to repair scars and wrinkles. And that's just what's available today, with current technology. Someday we'll be able to grow entire organs.

Pretty soon, plastic surgery might not be so plastic!
