There are three types of Estrogen: Estrone (E1), Estradiol (E2) and Estriol (E3). The phyto-estrogens in soy, flax, and hops, digest to 17β-estradiol:

Now I found a herbal way to increase estriol:

Estrone is the predominant estrogen in postmenopausal women. In pregnant women, it's estriol, and in others, estradiol. Since women grow most during pregnancy, I am tempted to believe that estriol would be the most effective estrogen for NBE.
So what is the track record of panax ginseng (Korean ginseng) in NBE? Crystallelle takes it

but that's only twice a week, so it's hard to tell how much it contributes. Korean ginseng is also an ingredient of Wonderup. Reason enough to start looking into this herb
