Why is it only bovine ovary that is mentioned? Why not chicken ovary for example?

Why not PRAWN ovary? The logical reason is probably because a lot of beef cattle are slaughtered anyway, and that the size of the cow ovaries are reasonable enough for them to be fairly easy to find and remove.

How about because it only makes sense for us to swallow an ovary from a mammal than a bird?
Their reproductive system is much more similar to ours than that of a birds.
How many chickens do you see that lug around milk filled udders?
Their ovaries, I'll bet you, are not effective for us.

Strictly speaking pig ovaries would be better as pigs are closer to human beings than any other animal which is slaughtered. However the number of cows slaughtered is much greater, so I guess their ovaries are much more easiy available.

Then there is the kosher/halal factor to consider as well...

No tests or trials have ever been carried out on the safety or effectiveness of any kind of ovaries, so nobody can really say what is best. However cow ovaries are much bigger than other ovaries that could be available and therefore they are much more cost effective to salvage when the animals are slaughtered.
