I'm Asian - should I take soy?

#1

I thjnk I can recall reading something written by Isabelle about Asians seeming to have best results with soy? Please correct me if I'm wrong Smile

Now I'm half Japanese & half Filipino, but I live in America and only occassionally eat asian foods. Does the soy thing still apply to me?

Im also a little apprehensive because on earthclinic.com many people reported thyroid problems as a result of using unfermented soy.

Im desperate for some growth though. If I decide to take soy I'd do about half a cup a day (I'm currently aa or a cup, 116 lbs, 19% body fat). What do you guys think & what is your experience with soy?

Hi Leeannel,

In many Asian diets, there is probably too much soy. An effective dose is 200 ml soy milk or 2 g soy meal or 6 g tempeh or 19 g tofu:

That's very little. Somebody who uses twice that amount every day will probably be stalled.
