Hi!
I am very new to NBE - in fact I only just started reading about it on Friday. I am in my late 20's, born female and have congenital heart disease and scoliosis.
The past couple of days I have been listening to Kenneth Blakes hypnosis program and started massage (I need to check out some more videos about this to make sure I'm doing it right). I have been doing weights and cardio as part of a hospital based exercise program. I am very cautious about herbs and creams because my heart reacts unpredictably to such things - last year I was nearly hospitalised because I took echinacea for a cold!!!
Without going into too much detail about my past I was very unhappy with my appearance when I was a teenager. I was very flat chested and wore a back brace for scoliosis which stuck out more than my boobs - not to mention the scars on my chest from heart surgery, my acne or my headgear. I felt so hopelessly powerless about my appearance but that gradually improved when I got my braces off my teeth, 6 months of roaccutane which cured the acne, and took up yoga after I finally got the all clear to set fire to my backbrace - I still smile thinking about that.
All this time though my chest was still pretty flat, with my breast going from not quite an A to an A cup, which sort of looks like a B cup in a padded bra. Also, with yoga and weights I have managed to make my breasts look a little more even and prominant (my right breast used to 'hide' more in my armpit because of my scoliosis and for years I thought the right side was underdeveloped compared to the left side but I don't think it is).
Anyway, after the improvements I have seen in my fitness from cardiac rehab, and the fact that I have no more cardiac surgery on the horizon, I started to look into NBE and was amazed that it actually seems to work. I am not going to have a breast augmentation due to my heart condition (I can't even find a surgeon to take out my wisdom teeth due to the risk), but would love to give myself a bit of a chest make over as a 'reward' for the four surgeries that I have had!
The only thing is, I think that heart failure (due to my heart condition) has negatively affected my circulation such that my breasts never grew properly in the first place (judging from the rest of my family I should at least be a B or a C cup), and now I take meds to lower my heart rate and blood pressure, as well as blood thinners and a diuretic to get rid of fluid retention. I need all of these medicines to live but I am guessing that they aren't good for NBE.
I assume that I can't take the supplements/ creams - so my options are massage, hypnotherapy and maybe accupuncture??? Diet may also be a bit of an issue as I have to avoid salt, excess fluid and vitamin K because of my heart failure and medicines.
If anyone else out there with heart failure or congenital heart disease has had success with NBE I would love to hear your story. I know many other ladies with CHD who are dissatisfied with their breasts and feel like less of a woman (some forms of CHD mean that you can't have kids which also does a number on your feminity).
In the meantime I'll keep browsing but I would love to hear your stories!
