Newbie looking for advice

#1

Hi All,

I am hoping that maybe someone who has experienced a similar situation could lend some information as to what has worked for them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 33 and have one 10 year old child. All my life I was very small breasted. (small A cup) When I was 21 I got pregnant and my breasts ballooned out to a C. After breast feeding, they are now sort of B's. I say sort of because they are like 2 sacs hanging on my chest. They fill the bottom of a B cup. I have very little upper breasts and my nipples almost point to the ground.

I started using Brava back in February. I've been getting great swelling and for a moment the swelling was lasting about 10 hours. Suddenly, the swelling only lasts about 5 hours and when they go down, it doesn't appear that I've gained anything at all.

I started fenugreek, saw palmetto and red clover about 3 weeks ago and massaging when I can. So far, nada.

After shelling out all this money for Brava, I can't afford to get a hormone test right now. I'm pretty sure I have hypothyroidism. I was told my thyroid was underactive when I was pregnant.

Any advice?

Thank you,
Tanya

PS...I have been working on my thyroid issue for sometime. Most of my symptoms are almost gone so I believe I am winning that war. I think I will take the plunge and move to an alkaline diet and see if that helps get rid of the last bit of my thyroid problem. Hopefully that will open the doors for growth. I will post my progress.

How did you fight your thyroid issues anyways?

I know mine's screwed up, but not eager to take prescription drugs.

As for advice? Get some alkaline Ph drops and add it to your water. Or you could buy the alkaline water, but the drops are way cheaper. I got mine from Swanson, really helped with acid reflux....way more than those antacids i was prescribed.

Hi SarahSchilling,

Thanks for the recommendation. I will definately try that. For around a year I have been taking thyroid boost by Solaray. I take 2 pills three times a day. It is mostly kelp so it helps my body produce the iodine I am lacking. I also take a couple of garlic pills everyday to help get rid of the Candida build up i have as a result of my underactive thyroid. Most recently I have removed nearly all sugar, carbs and white distilled vinegar from my diet...which is not easy by the way. I didn't realize almost every single condiment has white vinegar in it. Geez. I'm learning to make my own everything without it or with apple cider vin instead. I'm going to move to the alkaline diet now and see if that helps get my thyroid working even better. I also have a book on the way that should give me more info about boosting my thyroid.
