New and need help with program :)

#1

Hi all Smile

I've been reading through the forums for a while now and only just made an account. Some background info on me is I'm 22, 164cm tall and 49kg. When I was in high school I was a 12-14C (I'm not sure what that is in America, I'm in australia), but I weighed 65 kg. In the passed year I lost weight, but I also lost my breasts Tongue
So I am now a small 10A.

About a month ago I started doing massages twice a day, first with olive oil then with flaxseed oil, and have no noticed any improvements or tingling or growth pains.
I have also been recently (passed 2 weeks) been taking 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal daily (which I grind from the seeds) and 1 tsp of maca powder.

I am looking to include some herbs in my program. From reading the forums I have been thinking about including
Fenugreek
Red clover
Saw palmetto or spearmint tea? I'm confused about which one is better
And Fennel

I can buy fenugreek in 1000mg capsules, but I don't know if that dosage is too high or not high enough, and is that the best way to take it? I can also get red clover in capsule form at the same pharmacy, and that comes in 40mg capsules, but is quite expensive so I'll have to look around a bit more. I also read on another forum that including the the red clover powder in the massage oil or cream is another good thing to try.

How much of each herb should I be looking at starting with? Also, with fennel, should I take it in the form of fennel seeds or fennel tea?

I think that is everything I wanted to ask, thank you for any assistance!

We can't tell you which herbs you should be taking without knowing what your hormonal deficiencies are. You should get tested and then decide what your body needs.

Buy a noogleberry if you want to see real results without putting your body at risk from taking the wrong herbs.

Thank you for such a fast reply! Where does someone go to get their hormones tested?

if you are in a allowed state, google ZRT labs. You can do a blood spot panel or a saliva test kit, its all done from home. I feel this was the most important step for me as Jen noted, no one can tell you what will work for you. You have to figure that out by knowing what you are in need of rebalancing. till then, read as much as you canSmile

Thank you for the help Smile ive had a look at ZRT labs and I cant afford anything close to that. Im a uni student and I havent been able to get a job these holidays because im in the process of moving states for my degree. which is why i was looking into herbs because they seemed like the less expensive route to go assuming i stick with the basic ones i listed above. But yeah as you guys were saying i dont really want to screw up my hormones either Sad

Do you have health insurance? If so, you should be able to get it done through your physician.
