Which website do you trust?

#1

Hi
I've had real difficulty trying to find somewhere to get my hormones tested as I'm in the UK, and Tinytots has kindly suggested I try a chiropractor (which I'm going to look into), but I've found these on the web, and I don't know which I can trust and would very much appreciate your input on them.

Which one would you use, if any?

This came up as an 'Ad' and couldn't find it without it actually being an 'Ad' - http://www.verisana.co.uk/individual-hor...-and-women
I like the sound of this one as they explain the effects of the tested hormones, as well as a graphically report explaining the results (http://www.verisana.co.uk/info/faq). But the estrogen dominant, estrogen deficienty and progesterone deficiency tests measure progesterone & estradiol (so are they the same test, I wouldn't need to buy all 3 would I)?!?

I also like this one as it analyses levels of oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone over 28 days using 11 saliva samples. But when I click on the red box at the bottom "Female Hormone Test at the Natural Health Practice" it opens a new window with that company and I'm not sure why - not sure if that is dodgy or not.

http://www.pulsescreening.co.uk/hormones.html - Looks okay, but takes 3 weeks for your results to come back

This is a blood test, but looks reliable and legit - http://www.medichecks.com/index.cfm?s=2&d=19&thc=9

Also the blood test results take about 1 day to come back, but the saliva results average on 2-3 weeks. Is this normal for saliva tests?

Many thanks

If your in the UK you can just go to a doctor for free right? And ask if your hormones are in balance tell them all your symptoms of hormone imbalance and request a test, that seems more legit than mailing spit or however online tests work I dnt know.

Hi BonitaDDs, thank you for your reply, but no, we can't just go and ask, I'm pretty confident they won't do it. And my symptons are what my doctor & myself know about anyway (ie endometriosis, etc), so I don't need them testing to find out what's wrong with me. And plus, I can't make sure they will do all the ones necessary for NBE.
