Took Maca, didnt expect this.. what to do?

#1

So I took maca for about 2 weeks, one week at 500mg and one week at 1000mg a day. My period was due but never came, but i continued the maca for one week at 1000mg but decided to stop after that as my period didn't come.I had all the cramps and pain but no bleeding.. I'm 16 days late and finally my period is here, painful as ever.

I'm gutted, so many people said maca balanced them and helped their periods. I took it to balance my hormones and my sex drive was becoming non existent, my mood wasn't great, and the maca was really helping. My sex drive went through the roof and it was amazing, I was able to be ready and intimate with my husband every day, I loved that.

I was worried for those two weeks I might be pregnant but took two pregnancy tests and wasn't, the stress probably didn't help. My boobs are quite swollen today from my period, I was hoping maca would be my miracle maybe and balance my excess oestrogen so I could have some nice boobies and even out my curves. But now I don't know what to do, my period has never been that late and I can only think its the maca. Is it a bad sign, should I stop? Cycle it instead of take it solidly? Or will it even out over time? The last thing I need at the moment is crazy periods. Any help is appreciated!

I've started with 500 mg last year and it was too much for me to start with. It upset my stomach, so i had to take it only with empty stomach in the morning. It also gave me acne and stopped my period, because i was taking maca throughout the all cycle. Now i'm taking it to help with dhea, but i'm starting with 250 mg in the morning, along with anti dht herb, and i stop some days before and during my period. Try stopping a couple of days before your period come and check if it happens again.

And i would give more than a week till increase the dose. But only you can hear the signs of your body and see how it reacts.
