Hope I spelled that one right:-)Anyway,someone was recently asking about this one so I looked into it a LITTLE bit, heres a quick profile: It effects brain chemicals dopamine and norepinephrine therefore aiding stress, depression, fatiuge and headaches. Its an appetite suppressent, reduces body fat,can help allergies and supports thyroid function. It also treats low blood pressure, cold hands & feet and "restless leg syndrome and aids in "withdrawl" from addictions.Theres the basics!

Steph, since you mentioned that L-tyrosine can help with cold hand and feet, which I suffer from severely, I thought I would go and check it out. However, under this link:
http://www.pccnaturalmarkets.com/health/...rosine.htm
it said that normal people shouldn't take it. Whatever "normal people" are, but I guess they mean people who do not suffer from Parkinsons disease etc. who can benefit from taking tyrosine.

However, it says that it is contained in dairy products, meat, fish, oats and wheat, so if any one wants to "supplement" they can just make sure they eat a balanced diet.
Thought I would add this just in case anyone was interested.

Thanks for adding all that because I think just like every other thing in NBE or alt med,its just a matter of who's looking and where as to all the various info on the "same" product,If Im thinking correctly L-t is included in quite a few products out there (not specificaly NBE products).well as always its "user beware" and do ur own investigation,as I said above I did a LITTLE research just to help out someone who asked:-)

Tyrozine is a fatty acid, not an essential one, but sintetized from phenilalanine, and precursor to hormones and neurotransiters like noradrenaline, adrenaline dopa and dopamine. I don't know of what special functions it has (besided building proteins), but I have thought that it's better to take a supplement containing all (essential) fatty acids, not just this one.

I have a query about L-tyrosine.i read that it also reduces fat from the body, and i think this is bad for NBE right?I am on DNE brand.Eventhough it also says it stimulates growth hormone,I'm wonedring if it is more harmful than useful.

I only take 2000mg of the tyrosine cause that's what bb suggested to take. don't really know either if that's too much myself. Cause I know a lady that I keep in touch with about bb, who's grown very well so far and she only takes 500mg of the tyrosine and evidently it's not too little of an amount for her, cause so far she's grown like 3.25 inches in like almost 5 months. Or at least the last time I talked to her, that's how much she had grown.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help...maybe try a low dosage first and see if that makes a difference?? then, you could always add more. I do know that with the sheet I got in the past from bb, it stated that it could take 1-2 months for the tyrosine to bring the temp up. I remember it took mine a few weeks to go up and stay at about 98.2.

Good luck to you...breast wishes everyone!!

Hi Emmie,

Is your body temp 97.7 just before your take the pills or first thing in the morning? I've been taking L-Tyrosine also because when I first started BB my temp was as low as 97.4 first thing in the morning. I've taken as much as 3000 mg of L-T without any ill effects. My temp has come up now but it still fluctuates depends on where I am in my cycle. If it's at least 98 first thing in the morning, your body temp will come up more as you get out of bed and move around. I'd only be concerned about body temp if it's still low by the time you take your pills.

happy growing

I'm like you and have added dong quai for circulation issues and it's made my painful periods go away, I also have low blood pressure and take l-tyrosine which is already in my shake I take before bed (All max quick mass).

Can L-T be taken on its own for NBE?

Or is it just something to take along with all the other boobie herbs?

Thanks

Taking L-tyrosine on it's one will not help. Fenugreek (and perhaps other herbs used in NBE, I don't know) might lower tyroid function, resulting in low body temperature. L-tyrosine and kelp act on enhancing tyroid function

Anyone grown with a low body temperature?

Think I've always had slightly low body temperature 0.5-1 degree less than whatever's average, does this only affect BO or should I be tucking into kelp? Is the L-tyrosine associated with BO supposed to raise temperature?

L-tyrosine is necessary to produce hormones like thyroxin which regulates growth rate, metabolism, mental health, skin health and so on. I think the main reason for taking it for BE is growth rate. If someones basal temperature is lower than average it might be a sign of an underfunctioning thyroid hence both kelp and L-tyrosine supplements required for BO. I have a lower body temperature and my thyroid is just fine so it's not an accurate gauge. I would be careful of kelp because it can aggravate skin problems. Whenever I took kelp my skin brokeout badly.

L-tyrosine has many benefits, so it's always going to be good for you, whether it helps with BE or not.
