Help! I don't know what dosages to start with...

#1

Hi All. I'm completely new to NBE. I've read many, many pages on BreastNexus, but I'm having a really hard time finding the answers I need. I'm about to start my period and would like to start my NBE program as soon as it's over.

Here are the herbs I currently have to start with:

Pueraria Mirifica
Saw Palmetto
Fenugreek

So, here are the questions I have:

1) How many mg of PM is good to start with? Someone had suggested 200mg/day. Is that enough? Also, should I take both capsules at once in the morning or one in the morning and one in the evening? Also, has anyone heard of the company Thanyaporn? That's where I bought my capsules from and I'm not sure of the quality.

2) How many mg of Fenugreek would be good per day? My capsules are 610 mg each.

3) How much Saw Palmetto per day? My capsules are 450mg ea.

I also made a topical oil to use for massage. Here's what I used:

Mix 9 drops ofgeranium oil with 16 drops of Ylang Ylang oil in a base of 50 ml of almond oil. I also added a capsule or two (I can't remember) of PM.

Please let me know what you guys think? Should I add anything else?

Thanks!

You should add something to balance hormones also known as adaptogen , i.e Vitex, Maca, Ginseng ... Rolleyes

I would suggest one capsule 3x a day for fenugreek, and I've read to do the same with saw palmettto. I'm not sure about PM as it is quite strong. I would go with whatever the bottle suggests.

With the fenugreek you can eventually boost yourself to 2 capsules 3x a day, but don't take more than that.

I suggest starting out with just one 3x a day because I personally had some negative side effects with fenugreek and just in case you have some, you don't want to be on too high of a dose and exacerbate anything that might go wrong, you know?

As for once a day vs throughout the day, throughout the day is better. The best way to think about it is like, if each capsule keeps the herb in your system for three hours (that's an example I don't actually know how long they last) you'd rather take it three times a day and have your hormones boosted for nine hours as opposed to three really strong hours.

I know its less convenient, but it'll keep your more consistent than having a crazy spike at 9am or whenever you take it, and then settling back to normal throughout the rest of the day, only to spike again in the morning.

Thank you for the details. That does help. I'm still trying to understand this whole concept of what herbs do what. I think the idea is to boost estrogen and lower testosterone, right? I know PM is high estrogen. I think Saw Palmetto lowers testosterone. But I'm not quite sure what Fenugreek does. I really have read a lot on this forum. I've been researching it for about a year. I started once but only tried it for a week or two because I didn't have time to maintain it, so I didn't see much going on. I really want to commit to it this time.

Thank you for the suggestion to add something to balance everything out. Could you explain to me how that works? What needs to be balanced and how to Maca and Ginseng do that? Or maybe direct me to another thread?
