Since you want to get a vacuum with the NB, using a lotion may hinder your efforts or cause you to use too much vacuum to keep the cups from slipping (if your hand slips around while massaging, the cups will do the same thing).
In addition, if you have a vacuum, that will likely keep anything from being absorbed by the skin, an already difficult process since the skin lets very few things in--for your health and safety.
Avocado oil is about the best oil to assist absorption and I have used macadamia oil as well , which soaks in quite nicely. Probably best to use oils , etc, after you have noogled.
If you look in another thread on NB safety, I've copied an explanation of how the skin tensioning works and maybe that will answer some of your questions. It sounds like the best approach would be to noogle gently at the beginning because you will be stretching the collagen fibers and you don't want to damage tissue cells. That is why noogling takes time--the skin strecthes a bit, adds new cells, etc.
