Growing on PC? Please, please help!!!

#1

I was really hoping that somebody could shed some light on this as I am truly confused Huh
I've been searching through this forum (and Eve's old one too) and spent hours reading on PC and whether it works for NBE or not. It seems to me that the jury is out - some people feel that they got good results whereas others feel that PC and NBE as a combo is a bad idea, that it can be used in case of Estro dominance but not for BE.

I don't know if I am Estro dominant but I am certainly Estro sensitive. I've done the dr Lee test and according to that, I'm deficient in progesterone and dominant in Estro, but I appreciate that a blood or saliva test would determine this more accurately.

I could never tolerate the pill (back then they were all high in estro) and funnily enough, when I used the PM cream for 3 months, my breasts shrunk and I got the same symptoms as when on the pill - really bad pmt, super sore boobs, thrush etc.

I got my period at 11 and my boobs stopped growing shorthly after. They never grew while I was on the pill, and not really during pregnancy either. However, I don't have IGT as I had loads and loads of milk and breastfed my children past their 2nd Birthday, so nothing wrong with the glands.
I'm noogling (for over 12 months) but with very limited results and think that I need to introduce something else, but what?

I also read (not here) that Wild Yam should be avoided as it's not 'proper' progesterone, but plenty of people seem to be using it for BE?

I can't tell you hoe much I'd appreciate any input - I feel at the end of my tether here and very close to giving up NBE Sad

Thank you so much for reading, I appreciate it

I can't help with much of your post I'm afraid, but to clarify the Wild Yam question, at least:
Wild Yam does not contain Progesterone, so from that point of view it cannot contribute to NBE.
It does contain Diosgenin, which in a lab, can be converted to Progesterone via a 3-stage chemical procedure, to produce 'Nature-Identical' Progesterone, however there is no known bio-chemical pathway in the human body to make that conversion naturally.

I believe that there is may be some slight evidence that there is possibly something currently unknown about WY which may have some sort of effect on NBE, but it is unquantified at present.

So, although there is no reason why you should actually avoid it, there is also no good reason to take it either. You'd be better off spending your money on something else.

Hope this helps a little

Thank you so much Pansy-Mae, that is really helpful. I've ordered some 'real' progesterone cream which will hopefully help to balance out my hormones, but I'm not counting on it to help with my BE experience.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it

Hi Minkerbell. I've been debating whether or not to add PC cream, as well. I noticed there is a PC thread on here. I am currently taking pm pills and cream all month but was thinking of using pc cream for the luteal phase, but still take the pm pills during this time.

I've also read that WY is useless. Our bodies can't convert it.

I'm also confused. lol What is your routine?

Hi Sunnydayz, at the moment I'm just noogling and massaging. I've been trying to do as much research as possible on PC but am none the wiser, although I know now for sure that WY won't do anything for me.

I remember reading somewhere on here that if your hormones are in balance, you're more likely to respond well to BE. I'm not responding very well at all so I'm wondering if a hormonal imbalance is part of the problem. How are you finding the PM, have you gotten good growth?

I've only been on pm cream for 3 months and this is my 2nd month of pills with the cream. Before that I spent 6months using fg and a lot of other herbs. It took me 6 months to gain 1/2 inch that way. I've probably gained a total of 1 inch during this whole time. My boobs are definately more denser than they were before.

My plan is to try the pm pills and cream 3 months together before implementing any other herbs. That way I will know if pm is working alone, or not. Also, I've heard that you can only take pm for 3 months, without cycling, and then your period gets messed up.
