I did some experimenting today.I weighed FG and fennel seeds.2 grams FG is about 1 small teaspoon (not full)and 2 g fennel too.But it is a really small amount.I asked about this and even if i had them in powdered form it will only be different in volume but not in mass.Could that be true that only such a small amount is needed?Or is there something I am missing?

Hi Sandy. You're probably missing the fact that herbs in powdered form can mean just powdered or it can mean dried and powdered. There would be a big difference depending on whether the herbs were dried or not.

Hmm so how can i know how much in seed form is required for nbe. This is getting frustrating. The ones you took were in powdered form or seeds?I just want to make this as natural as possible.

I think the herbs are supposed to be dried, otherwise the water interfears with the dose. 2 g of dried FG / fennel would be the right dose. As to how to dry them, my idea is that you crush / grind them, leave them on air for some time (a couple of weeks?) in warm and dry weather, then grind them more until you get more or less fine powder. You could probably google more accurate instructions on the net.

The herbs I took were not powdered form, they were dried and powdered. As I said it's quite a difference.

I know of one woman who chewed whole fenugreek seeds and grew quite well. Just keep an accurate account of how much whole seeds you use and ramp it up while watching the effect. I think she used about a tsp. Not sure though.

The best thing is probably that they are fresh seeds. You might also chase them down with some orange juice. There is something about orange juice that also seems to help - maybe the citric acid.

Hi there,

I am interested in taking fennel and fenugreek seeds as well. So is the recommendation 1 teaspoon of both (once a day)?
I've only seen the herbs in pill format, but hoping to be able to find them in seed form.

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

Yes.If you want to take 2 g fg/fennel then:
1 teaspoon not full of Fg/ day
1 teaspoon FULL of fennel /day
This would be the 2 g you need Smile
