There are a good number of plant derived or natural skin lighteners like kojic acid, licorice extract, or tyrostat (which is a bit pricey) for melanin inhibition to use along with Vitamin C. I also read from some forums that MSM also helps lighten the skin and moisturize it.
I'd stay away from hydroquinone since it is carcinogenic and already banned is some countries (if i'm not mistaken).

I'm with Koko about the hydroquinone cream. I know it's popular and it's supposed to work but the cancer risk thingy really puts me off. The FDA approbal means little in the face of that.
Totally agree about the natural skin lighteners. I mean, if you're going to all nautral for bigger breasts why not for skin lightening?
I used licroice extract before and i swear it worked really well for getting my undereye dark circles lighter. It's really cheap too and you can mix it into your lotion.

Most skin whiteners currently on the market contain ingredients (hydroquinone, ascorbic acid, kojic acid, arbutin, azealic acid, glycyrrhetinic acid (licorice extract)) that act as direct inhibitors of tyrosinase, the enzyme in the skin pigment cells (melanocytes) that make melanin. This melanin is good for your skin and will provide you good effects!!
