Ah, "the tree of life", moringa oleifera benefits are extraordinary (antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, detoxifier, thyroid support, many others). I've tried moringa tea before, I liked it.

I think they'd be great for NBE, do you have a source on the boost in prolactin?, great question. Thanks

Abstract
A herbal tea, made of leaves of ixbut (Euphorbia lancifolia Schlecht.), has been used for several centuries by postpartum Mayan women in Guatemala to stimulate and increase the flow of mother's milk. Ixbut, when mixed with cattle fodder, is reputed to have increased milk yields in cows. To date, the active principle of ixbut has never been isolated. However, this medicinal herb, a natural galactagogue of Central American origin, would appear to be worthy of further chemical and pharmacological study. The following illustrated article describes the history and use of ixbut, and includes chromatographic analyses of dried ixbut leaves from Guatemala.

Abstract
Moringa oleifera leaves, seeds, bark, roots, sap, and flowers are widely used in traditional medicine, and the leaves and immature seed pods are used as food products in human nutrition. Leaf extracts exhibit the greatest antioxidant activity, and various safety studies in animals involving aqueous leaf extracts indicate a high degree of safety. No adverse effects were reported in association with human studies. Five human studies using powdered whole leaf preparations of M. oleifera have been published, which have demonstrated anti-hyperglycemic (antidiabetic) and anti-dyslipidemic activities. These activities have been confirmed using extracts as well as leaf powders in animal studies. A rapidly growing number of published studies have shown that aqueous, hydroalcohol, or alcohol extracts of M. oleifera leaves possess a wide range of additional biological activities including antioxidant, tissue protective (liver, kidneys, heart, testes, and lungs), analgesic, antiulcer, antihypertensive, radioprotective, and immunomodulatory actions. A wide variety of polyphenols and phenolic acids as well as flavonoids, glucosinolates, and possibly alkaloids is believed to be responsible for the observed effects. Standardization of products is an issue. However, the results of published studies to date involving M. oleifera are very promising. Thanks Lotus, and Peggy for this. I just ordered this brand:

Organic Moringa Leaf Powder(Freeze Dried) 1Lb. USDA Organic Certified.

But first I read the side effect on it from WEBMD, so be careful:

Moringa is POSSIBLY SAFE when taken by mouth and used appropriately. The leaves, fruit, and seeds might be safe when eaten as food. However, it’s important to avoid eating the root and its extracts. These parts of the plant may contain a toxic substance that can cause paralysis and death. Moringa has been used safely in doses up to 6 grams daily for up to 3 weeks.

Yes thanks pom. I generally find webmd doesn't have a kind word to say about any natural supplements and that it was a big conspiracy but as of late I'm rethinking seeking notable side effects from these big pharma funded sites.

But I do have moringa which I forgot about but plan to take. Will take heed of the dosing wArnings.

I may have jumped the gun on Moringa and Prolactin. Moringa is known as a galactagogue which I associate with increasing prolactin. Sad

I found this study: http://miracletrees.org/moringa-doc/mori..._study.pdf which shows its effectiveness as a galactagogue.

This article: http://www.drugs.com/breastfeeding/moringa.html however states that: "No correlation was found between serum prolactin and milk volume."

Other sites say the opposite, but they are pushing product: "The lactation enhancing effects of malunggay leaves as evidenced by a greater increase in maternal serum prolactin levels." (http://moringa4women.blogspot.com.au/p/l...thers.html)

Their capsules contain leaf extract equivalent to 5000mg of leaf material.

And i also curios about red clover. I cant seems to find enough review on here about red clover.

PM cause a lot of side effects on me sadly. So im searching for new alternatives for estrogen booster. Could you recommend me please? Thank you

Hi Dfleurs, (long time no hear girl) Big Grin I did try it at some point or another, I can't remember why I stopped using it?. However it's an amazing tea for sure. Personally, I think a NBE program needs 2 cups of green tea daily. I see that moringa would be a great substitute.

When I had concerns about PM I used red clover liquid extract. RC is a strong at ERa(estrogen rector alpha), actually it has a stronger affinity then PM. I used 1 dropper 3x a day. And I went hard core with sublingual dose Rolleyes, it wasn't bad, I let it sit under the tounge for a few minutes, then wash it down. I believe RC can help widen areolas too. (Just my opinion).

Yes, more and more people are stepping up to say that PM has issues, some of those issues are quite serious. We must take more universal protections, (which I've listed several times)

Coconut oil helps estrogen receptor bioavailability. Maybe concentrate more on the conversion of testosterone to estrogen, which is more available to us in the body, known as endogenously. In other words we probably don't need more estrogen boosting herbs, just be smart on what's already there. Make sense?.

And another side to this is by reducing androgens which will create more bioavailable estrogen, by way of 5 alpha reduction. I've found something knew, (well, newer-ish) Rolleyes I posted some info on it before and it went unnoticed, I'll post some updated research on what I'm referring too, asap.

In women, about 25% of testosterone is produced in the ovaries and 25% in the adrenals, the remaining 50% is derived from peripheral conversion of proandrogens [dehydroepian drosterone (DHEA) sulphate, DHEA and androstenedione] (Somboonporn & Davis, 2004). Testosterone levels have been linked to several hormone–dependent diseases in women such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), hirsutism, and androgenic alopecia, acne and breast cancer (Kaaks et al., 2005; Yu et al., 2003; Wetberg et al. , 2001; Redmond, 1998).

In conclusion: Red Clover 1 dropper 2-3x daily, coconut oil 1-2 tablespoons daily , followed by the morninga tea sounds solid. RC in the first half followed by Vitex in the second. (400mg) every other day might be a better option then every day. What's missing is an anti-androgen. What are you using presently?

I can't see anything bad about red clover?? It all seems condusive to good health and cleansing and good estrogen right. Its a major component to Jason winters tea and the famous hoxsey cancer treatment. Helps prevent heart disease, bile production.

Breast growth aside is there anything controversial you have
Researched about RC? If anyone can sniff it out its you.
