Hey Isabelle,

I havent taken my maca while on the 3pills 2 of the 3 days..meaning the first day of 3 PM pills I took maca but stopped and will not start back up maybe not til I start FG not sure just playing it by ear, the reason is every time I took maca my back outs got worse and I felt lack of energy and my chin hairs were getting way worse..well just taking PM now my mood is great and my face in looking really good..so doing good with PM only at this time of my cycle..oh no headaches (did have it one the first day of 3pills of PM and the day before that)..no nause feeling..and getting zinges ever so slight..not alot..been massaging with coconut oil and PM..I heat the CO (it cant tolerate high temps..FYI) for 30secs of about 2 tbsps..2 PM caps (well empty them into it..haha) then mix and heat for another 30 secs let sit for awhile and when I went to use it not gritty and desolved into the titas..

Thank you Melissa,

I´m happy I kept my bust size too. Just so anxious to go back to a 30" waist that I´m really taking too much FG (4,000 mg) and too little hops right now. I will try less FG today, like 3,000 mg.

Great news, Susan!

You could try a whiff of SP if you want to continue maca in the estrogen peak. But you have plenty of cycles to come: try it later. I don´t understand the lack of energy from maca Dodgy I get more Huh

CO for topicals sounds fun. Is it more slippery than olive oil? Does it leave a shiny layer after massage?

Hi Isabelle,

Funny you mention SP I took one before bed last night..Big Grin would be ok to just add SP only and just 1 pill you think..I think I will do maca later on in the cycle but not sure..so far SP is ok maybe for me 1 pill works ok..and as for the PM should I do what the chart says 2 today or should I do one more day of 3 dont know..but then experimenting is what it is all about so maybe just stick with the chart this month and see how it goes..the titas are back to 32 inch sometimes lower sometimes 32 1/2 ish..so dont know if growth is happening..I really need to eat more for some reason having a hard time with my appitite sp? I do a protein drink in the morning and at night..I just bought liquid aminos that have b complex and I bought a multi but the multi says 3 caps I am only going to take 1 day.. I also bought chewable c's with acerola, rose hips, rutin, bioflavonoid, hesperdin cause I dont think my powdered c has all that and when I was little my dad had these chewables and I would eat them like candy and had great skin..Big Grin the past 2 days with the 3 PM pills (not the 1st day thought of 3 pills) my titas have been having zings and such, not much soreness..after SP it was even more.

Isabelle I just read about Zoft gum and many having success with it and they say (Zoft comp.) that the ingredients are similar to Breast Success..so I may try those again like org. planned instead of FG..that would be today..2 PM and 1 BS..I think I will do that..

Here is the link to Zoft gum and in it it mentions BS pills and its success with them ..hmmm

Hi Susan,

You can stay on 1 SP for as long as you need it, which is probably just a day or two.

Two PM and 1 BS sounds fine too. The Zoft Gum ingredients look OK for the 2nd half of your cycle, but be sure to stop them towards the end of your cycle.

Black cohosh and dong quai are not really NBE ingredients. They're more for PMT and hot flushes and such. I still wonder why they put them in NBE formulas.

Answering NotSoBusty's question about the steroid jungle, I posted the symptoms I use to steer a program here:
http://www.breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=9786&pid=35037#pid35037

When you know the symptoms, look at the map:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Steroidogenesis.svg
It's a helpful resource to check which symptoms are related, and which chemical reaction paths you need to speed up or block.

When you know what to do, what are you going to take? This is my current list of options:

Phyto-estrogens:
hops cones
pueraria mirifica root
licorice tea (estrogen, increases prolactin, anti-androgen, and progestin)
red clover flowers (50/50 phyto-estrogen and phyto-progestin)
shatavari tea
yellow dock
sheep sorrel
wild yam (not a phyto-estrogen, but a 16α-hydroxyestrone blocker)
fenugreek seeds do not contains phyto-estrogens, but do increase natural estrogens

Fusarium, a fungus, makes zearalenone, a very estrogenic mycotoxin:
barley, oats, hops (can contain fusarium)
malt (certainly contains fusarium)
maize, wheat, buckwheat, rye (often contain fusarium)

Phyto-progestins:
licorice tea
fennel seed tea
red clover
yucca
thyme
oregano

Anti-androgens:
hops cones
spearmint tea (peppermint is more estrogenic)
saw palmetto berry
stinging nettle root
pumpkin seed oil
borage seed oil
Zinc < 80 mg
vitamin B6
azelaic acid (in rye, barley grass, whole grain cereals)
Secoisolariciresinol diglycoside (SDG), the main lignan in flax (linseed)
β-Sitosterol
Java tea (orthosiphon extract)
pygeum bark
wild yam (because it contains β-sitosterol)

Androgens:
oats (because it decreases SHBG, releasing free testosterone)
maca root increases estrogen, but also testosterone
citrus

To increase prolactin:
fenugreek seed
fennel seed
goat's rue (galega officinalis)
black seed (nigella sativa)
basil
dill
caraway seed tea (carum carvi, wild cumin)
aniseed
blessed thistle

Human Growth Hormone:
hops
fenugreek
GABA
serotonin (= 5-HTP + Vitamin B6)
L-arginine
L-glutamine
L-tyrosine
bee pollen
L-dopa
high intensity exercise

Growth Factor:
deer velvet extract
glandular therapy (bovine ovary)
pig placenta
lamb placenta

vitamin B complex:
must contain > 50 mcg vitamin B12
vitamin B6

Vitamin C, D, E:
in multivitamin
vitamin C in rose hips
vitamin E in almonds

Folic acid:
spinach (preferably frozen), asparagus, broccoli, avocado, lettuce
beremeal

Zinc 12-35 mg:
seafood (oysters!), meat, chicken, dairy, oats
never skip a day: the body can't store zinc

Protein:
meat, chicken, fish, eggs
fortify shakes with milk protein powder
no soy: slows the thyroid (or take kelp and L-tyrosine with it)

Healthy fats:
borage oil (highest in GLA, prostaglandin precursor)
omega 3 (fish and flaxseed oil, cold pressed = without lignans)
omega 6 can cause acne (GLA is an omega 6 fatty acid)
evening primrose oil contains less GLA than borage oil, makes androgen excess worse
coconot oil (saturated, for frying)

Butt:
maca root
aguaje

Waist hip ratio:
fenugreek seed
goat's rue (galega officinalis)
black seed (nigella sativa)
wild yam (hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic)

Grow hair nails lashes:
millet, apple core, oats (contain silicic acid)
horsetail, equisetum arvense, contains silicic acid
gelatin
MSM
collagen

Hi Isabelle,

Nice post above.. I was reading about prolactin on wikpedia and it sounds like you have to be careful taking too much or not having enough of it..How would you know..DodgyHuh IMO sounds like it shouldnt be messed with.

Hi Susan,

Do you mean this page?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prolactin
It also has a link to a set of symptoms:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperprolac...a#Symptoms

As long as you can keep your cycle going, there's no problem. For men, it's more difficult. I decreased my FG to 3,000 mg, just to make sure.

hi isabelle,

i'm a little torn on spearmint tea and thought i would consult with you. i'm looking into taking it as anti-androgen. i've been working out a lot more and as a result, i think my testosterone is more elevated than before. (i'm developing muscles fairly quickly and i'm getting a bit more body hair than before, plus a little acne flare up, and high sex drive... all tell tale signs of elevated testosterone).

anyways, spearmint tea seems very promising minus the fact that it's got vitamin B6. in normal circumstances, that's a good thing. but i remember reading somewhere vitamin B6 suppresses prolactin which would NOT be beneficial to my program.

do you have any more information on this matter? i'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.

Hi lled,

I don't expect a real problem with prolactin, because lactating women are advised to double their vitamin B6 intake:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_B6
But that's 2 mg a day. The upper limit is 100 mg. I have a multivitamin that says on the label it can cause slight tingles and sedation after prolonged use, because it contains more than 10 mg vitamin B6.
The doses needed to reduce prolactin are huge, 200-600 mg/day:
http://jcem.endojournals.org/content/42/6/1192.short

I don't think you are getting too much vitamin B6. It's in things I wouldn't expect to find in your diet, like potatoes and bananas. The NBE herb for vitamin B6 is oats:
http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitaminb6

Don't worry about the vitamin B6 in spearmint: 1 tsp of dried spearmint contains only 13 micrograms:
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=dried+spearmint+vitamin+B6&lk=1

Then just how much vitamin B6 should you be getting for NBE? NBE advice just quotes the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for lactating women, 2 mg a day:
http://bestbreastcancer.info/uncategoriz...-vitamins/
http://breast-tips.com/2011/07/07/breast...-vitamins/
I still think it's strange the upper limit is 50 times higher than the RDA. If you're worried you're getting too much, check side effects and symptoms of vitamin B6 toxicity:
