Hello Isabelle,
I'm new here and trying to find info on NBE, so I'm reading through the various threads. I've been reading your thread and have found info that I think will help me.
I have a couple of things for you and your readers.
1. In post #66, lled34aa mentioned a slimy feeling from tea bags containing fenugreek. Fenugreek contains mucilage, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenugreek
The slimyness is probably due to this. However, it could also be due to a couple of other things. A biofilm, bacterial slime, or a fungal slime, depending on how old the used tea bags are and how they were stored (warm and damp.)
(Please note that some herbs are anti-bacterial and/or anti-fungal.)
Flaxseed also contains mucilage, it is a soluble fiber and natural glue. Another use for flaxseed is for its mucilage.
2. Your and beachbumbythesea's discussion on maca starting in post #89, brought to mind an old song. Vikki Dougan or Vikki Turn Your Back on Me, by the Limeliters (album: The Slightly Fabulous Limeliters). See
http://www.limeliters.net/vikki_dougan.html and
http://www.limeliters.com
You can also Google her name and the song title. There is also a listing for her on Wikipedia.

Thank you Big Dave,
I checked the dishes I used for fenugreek since that post, and indeed, after a day in water, each grain of powdered fenugreek is swollen and has a thick, transparent slime film around it. It's more solid than a bacterial slime. The mucilage would explain it.
Found the song:

It's kinda how discussions between Susan and me work

Hi Isabelle,
Did you find the pic that inspired the song? Sorry about the bad links, I misspelled Limeliters. The links now work.

The pic in the first link: hilarious
I read she was also one of the inspirations for Jessica Rabbit.
The funny thing is that maca
does create back cleavage. My buttocks protrude a lot more than they ever did, and it's all fat. Amazing.

I had never seen the picture before yesterday, after all I was 2 years old when it was taken, and I hadn't heard the song for 40 some years.

Hi Susan,
It's been busy out here. Helped my elder daughter move to campus yesterday, and today too.
I also keep maca low these days: 3,000 mg. I still wonder why black strap molasses works well for you. Maybe the iron. You must have lost some in those heavy periods.
I think you will do well on NB. Certainly because you probably got some HA, MSM, gelatin, and collagen still lying around. Just take all of those with a lot of protein and water, and suck it all into your titas in the first pumping session
I woke up early this morning. I tried taking a capsule of my old hops formula as a sleeping pill, but that didn't work. I'll get some breakfast cereals with dried hops flowers now. And a mug of goat's rue tea. I drank two yesterday, and each gave me about eight hours of swelling. Add one more and I get swelling 24/7

Have you grown yet.. I think you mentioned that you did.. I keep thinking of buy WY but keep putting it off.. just going with what I have and the maca is doing nice for this cycle..still not sure of adding FG.. I was reading somewhere that you can also have too much prolactin that could interfer with progress, FYI you can produce more prolactin from orgasms..yep you heard me right.. What foods did you say helps progestesrone.. what again does tumeric help estrogen and progesterone..

Hi Susan,
The campus is one and a half hour by public transport, and longer than that by car in the rush hour. At night, I can drive it within the hour. Rooms are scarce: the poor kid has been commuting for a month. I'm so happy her room is ready for her and her boyfriend to stay tonight: they start early tomorrow.
You can mix HA, MSM, gelatin, and collagen, as long as you don't mix calcium with vitamin C: you'll get kidney stones.
I'm really growing now, but it started with the goat's rue, so it may be all swelling. Why does maca work so differently for you from one cycle to the other?
The first thing too much prolactin does is stop your periods, so you'll know when it happens. WY will do similar things as fenugreek, but with less prolactin, so it may help you now.
Turmeric helps progesterone. Thyme and oregano (pizza) too. And Ginie writes vitamin E (almonds) helps.

Hi Isabelle, that isnt too bad of a drive.

Oh ok...good.. didnt know that about the vitc..thank you for that info.

Well when I started maca I took alot a once didnt intro it slow and I believe if messed up my hormones.. so now I think it is keeping them level and now I can maybe tweek it with phytos and other options like progesterone too.. Isa I have no chin hair!! so something is working with it.. my dad has tumeric in caps thinking of taking one tonight to see if I get something..hey I will go and take it now..brb..ok back and took one this is what it says on the bottle: Tumeric extract (cucuma longa)(root) standarize to 95% cucumin 285mg the whole cap is 300mg so what is this 95% stuff

Really it stops them wow learning alot from this post..maybe that is why after being with my man (been very busy upped my prolactin from orgasms or not..as for WY probably will not try that just yet..

VitE helps progesterone..man didnt not know this either..very interesting..Thank you for explaining everything above.. as for FG ...hmmm not sure if I want to take that anymore.. So are you saying you havent grown since you started NBE?
