Long time hops & FG user

I have a dna marker, hla-b27, it makes carriers of it prone to auto immune diseases. I count myself lucky because I don't have some of the bad ones that run in my family. So far I've ended up with psoriasis, psoriatic arhtritis, ibs ect. Anyway part of the psoriatic arthritis attacks the nails and makes them discolor and fall off. I'm an expert at hiding this. The last two weeks is the first time in 2 years that I haven't had to have thick layers of polish and super glue to hide a mess. My nails are in a little over a month a healthy pink and reattaching..... so skin and nails for sure...waiting on the hair though. I shed pretty heavy due to my methotrexate injections....fingers are crossed. Metho is a low dose of chemo though so msm may not be able to overcome that.

Thank you Mel,

and best of luck with the hair.

It looks like you have an awful lot to manage. But I know you are on the right track, in learning all about it, and supplementing what works.

I'm going to try a bottle of MSM too Smile

It looks like a regular cycle on PM is possible if PM is stopped completely mid cycle, and not resumed until after ovulation. Maybe this is not the complete story. I feel the answer is right here on the forum. I´m compiling stories from forum members here:

Thomas Edison said good ideas are often not fully investigated because they wear overalls and look like work. Well, I´m not afraid of a little work. We´ll get to the bottom of this Smile

I don't know what to think about today's mesurements. The difference between bust and underbust is 13 cm. That means I grew 2" in 3 months! Is the hops finally starting the growth spurt Eve M experienced? Or did this week's flax seed experiment add something? Let's wait two weeks without flax and see.

I also gained weight again: My brother and his family came over, I helped a friend move house, and had dinner with my younger daughter yesterday. I had more pizza and hamburgers than goat's rue tea this week-end. Time for some discipline again Dodgy

Height: 178.5 cm = 5*.3048 + 10*.0254 = 5' 10"
Weight: 82.0 kg * 2.2046 lbs/kg = 181 lbs
Body Mass Index (BMI): 82.0/1.785/1.785 = 25.7
Breast: 109 cm = 43"
Under: 96 cm = 38"
Waist: 92 cm = 36"
Hip: 98 = 39" (actually the widest part around my butt)
Waist to hip ratio (WHR): 92/98 = 0.94

Progress:
Day 11/7 26/7 08/8 22/8 05/9 19/9 3/10 7/10 17/10 2014 2016
BMI: 26.5 26.4 26.2 25.7 25.3 26.0 25.7 25.3 25.70 23.0 23.0
B-U: 8.00 5.00 8.00 8.00 8.00 10.0 10.0 10.0 13.00 15.0 20.0
WHR 0.95 .945 0.94 0.92 0.92 0.96 0.93 0.92 0.940 0.80 0.70

Hey Isabelle,
2" in 3 months is great! Congrats!

Do you visually see a difference? Or is it just the measuring that says that?

I get confused sometimes because I am measuring bigger but I just can't see it. I think I have noticed my breasts are a little rounder, a little.
I know some say rounding of the breasts won't show up with a measuring tape, but if I am measuring bigger, and can't really see outwards growth, it has to be the rounding of the breasts showing up on the measuring tape. So confused......

Thank you Melissa,

I see a difference, but the biggest difference is in the measuring and in how they feel. I never took pictures, so I have to rely on memory, but I see most difference when I either look down on my breasts, or look sideways into the mirror. Facing the mirror, I hardly notice anything.

My breasts are conical, and the areolas are soft. The harder tissue feels like a volcano, and the edges of the "crater" used to feel sharp. Now they're rounded, like there is a lot of snow on the volcano.

I don't expect rounding of the breasts to show up with a measuring tape either. Unless you develop a lot of outer boob, of course. If you develop a lot of inner boob that shows nicely as cleavage, the tape measures around the nipples, and that circumference does not change.

Do you have rigid bra's you can use for measuring?

Hi Isabelle.
I do have a "measuring bra" its a 34A, It fits me but I want to bust out of that one, lol! I guess i just havr to keep doing what i am doing. I am pretty sure i am measuring correctly, so i guess i have grown almost 3/4 inches since late July. I am growing but slowly. I know BO is slow for most people so i expected that. As long as i am growing, i am okay with that. It puts my mind at ease that BO gives permanent results so id rather take slow growth and for it to stay than getting fast growth and then it disappearsAngry

Hi Melissa,

I also grew 3/4" over the first 2 1/2 months. But now something seems to be happening Smile

So who knows, your program may take off in the next few weeks too. I think this is the point where you need to keep doing what you're doing. The most experienced people write it takes three months to notice anything, and four months to be really positive it works.

Keep going Smile

I'd better follow my advice myself. Keep on truckin' Dodgy

Today, I helped a friend getting her new house ready for moving in. So I had my fenugreek and hops late, slacked on my diet, and my third cup of goat's rue tea is still too hot for drinking. It's over an hour past bed time.

I just couldn't help whipping out the tape. The difference between bust and underbust has dropped from 12 cm (5") to 10 cm (4"). That could mean three things:

1) My measurement yesterday was faulty. I hope not.
2) I should be more disciplined with my program.
3) Against all odds, last week's flax experiment added something, but apparently it's temporary.

I really want to know if the flax did something. That would mean I need a second and maybe a third phyto-estrogen, like in Eve M's program. The best way to get a hard conclusion is to slow down: stick to my usual routine for two more weeks until my next tape day, and then repeat the flax experiment. Measure again after two more weeks. So it's taking a month before I really know about the flax. But hey, I may get that inch back in the process Big Grin

I finally found an overview of growth factors needed in NBE. It's figure 4 in this publication:
http://www.cshperspectives.com/content/2...03178.full

The text gradually builds up to the complexity of the figure. Worth reading. Prolactin is involved in a third step in mammogenesis, after the estrogens and progesterone have done their parts of the job. IGF-1 is important during the phase controlled by the estrogens, and during the third phase, pregnancy, IGF-2 becomes important. What makes pregnant women big is not estriol, but a growth factor of the fetus.

I'm still in the first phase, which is controlled by estrogens and IGF-1. In this phase, phyto-estrogens and L-arginine (for HGH and IGF-1) are useful. The use of placenta supplements is clearly something I should consider further down the NBE path. The whole point of the article is that each hormone and each growth factor fulfills a specific role in a specific phase of development. Maybe without knowing it, the authors have created a very useful NBE road map Smile
