Saw this thread late, but wanted to chime in. I had the fat transfer procedure with Dr. Khouri in April (I'd been wearing BRAVA since January, alternating between the LG and XLG domes, depending on whether I was using increased pressure with the hand bulb pump or just smartbox pressure).
Two days before surgery I had to fly from NJ to FL with BOTH sets and was TERRIFIED Homeland Security was going to take them (I didn't care about me, but don't touch my domes!!). I had one set in their box in a nylon laundry bag, which was my carry-on, and the other set in a standard size carry-on suitcase for my daughter to use as hers.
When it was time to go thru security, she disappeared so she wouldn't be embarrassed if it got pulled! Leaving NJ, about 5 security personnel gathered around the screen - I could see the domes on the TV! They stood there chatting about it, while I tried to look everywhere but. After about literally 10 minutes they let them go thru. Same thing happened on the way back from Miami, only this time there were maybe 7 or 8 security folks staring at them!
I did have all of the accessories in a zipped tote in the laundry bag. Along with the literature and DVD. That last week before the procedure you had to wear the domes 24/7, but there was no way I was going to risk going thru the body scanner with them on, especially since the recent reports of "exploding implants"!
Honestly, the fear of having them taken from me was far more stressful than all of my surgery worries!
