Is laminaria a good herb for weight loss?

I heard some talk about this but haven't come across anyone who has used it. Does anyone have any experience with it?

I've been taking laminaria extract for 3 weeks. For me it hassn't done anything but a friend of mine says she lost a lot of weight with it, so I'll keep on taking it and see what happens.

There are definitely people who have lost weight with laminaria, but like everything it doesn't work for everyone. Watch out for imitations of this if you want to try it, as I heard there were several imitations around.
