Cilest Contraceptive Pill

Hi, haven't been here for a while, hope eveyone is ok. I just wanted to see if anyone is on the contraceptive pill 'cilest', my doc just changed me from microgynon to that & I'd like to know if anyone on cilest has had many side effects with it?! Also means I am now putting back my date to buy some wonderup as I have to wait 3 months to see if cilest works ok for me - hopefully it will or i'll need to change pill again & put back be again!

I've been on cilest for about 6 months now. I tried mycrogynon when i was 19 or 20, but it made me vomit. I haven't had any bad side affects from taking cilest. In fact my peeriods have shortened since taking it. My Doctor told me it is considered one of the lower dose pills and is therefore considered to be quite safe.
I'm just about to finish a four month supply of perfect C and after a break (4 weeks) will be trying wonderup. I didn't get any growth from perfect C. I'll keep you posted if i grow. I was concerned that cilest may stop wonderup from working so if after 3 months of wonderup, if i have no growth signs eg tingling etc, i will think about coming off the pill. I'm just too embarassed to ask my Dr for advice!!!
Anyway, cilest has been a good pill for me and i have found it better than mycrogynon....i hope it works for you

Thankyou, it's good to hear you are fine on cilest, I've only been on it for a week so far but have had a few headaches, I think it may just be the sudden switch in hormones, as cilest has more progesterone than microgynon did! I have asked my doc about wonder up & he said that it seems perfectly safe to take & shouldn't interefere with contraception. As for contraceptive pill affecting how well wonderup works I've read on the wonderup forum that people on microgynon have sometimes found no growth but once switched to a diff pill tried again & did grow!so I think cilest should be ok, hopefully you'll find good resutls with wonderup! My doc also said some people do get bigger breasts while on contraceptive pills - but only while taking them - if you stop they'll get small again - so he said to see if cilest makes thm bigger as it has done so for some other girls. I'll have to wait & see for a month or so! good luck with wonder up.xxx

Hi you guys well i took the birth control pill when i was 17 and my breasts grew from a B to a full C. After taking it for 6 months, my body became immuned to the effets of the birth control and went back down to its normal size a small B.
I am planning on taking wonderup soon and i was just wondering if you guys new for sure if wodnerup or birth control effected the way either one worked?

Hi chantelleb, I saw in another post that you are 19 & I am too, from the info from other people on wonderup & the advice on the wonderup website the wonderup pills will NOT affect how well the contraceptive pill works - so no worries there. The confusion is whether the type of contraceptive pill you are on could stop wonderup working as well as it could - the verdict from the wonderup forum is that a few girls on microgynon found no results when taking wonderup but once they switched to a diff pill or came off pill & re-tried wonderup they DID get results! but there are also some girls who have said they were on microgynon & still got results with wonderup. Also there has only been info about microgynon - no others. Not sure if that helps really. I think I will start on wonderup soon, but give some time to check if cilest agrees with me 1st. I'm also thinking of some of the draw backs of increasing cup size cause if I have a control over making them bigger or not I don't want to make them bigger then regret it. xxx
