I'm not an expert on these Chinses methods, but aren't all these feet just a source of protein? Then a protein shake would do the same.

I was thinking about it from the other post ... and I think they're both sticky/gelatine type foods. That could be why after women have babies, in the cantonese tradition, they have lots of pig trotters (in the sweet vinegar)?

Yes, gelatine is a good source of essential amino acids. But it seems that some people think these animal feet are the part of NBE which makes you grow, but it's not, it's just the part that ensures adequate diet.

I agree with -Moon- 100% about these feet being a source if protein and such... which is why I refrain from eating any, I just try fit in healthy and protein rich foods in my diet whenever I can
