hi bettie. with my kangzhu it was easy ..one dome at a time. when i got my noogleberry domes i felt like i’d never get them both pumped up, it felt so awkward. i oiled and massaged, added a little aloe gel then i had to pull my shoulders back, lean back a bit, hold steady and, to get them to seat i got them into position, nest the left dome in the crook of my left elbow while holding the right dome with my left hand, and pump furiously until they both seated. sometimes, i’d have to stop and twist one of the domes cuz it wouldn’t seat. 

about the valves, once or twice i had to grab one and twist just a little because it would slowly, slowly lose air. also, you really have to push the tube ends pretty hard to get them fully connected into the valves. whew! normally, for me, i don’t disconnect the hoses, it’s just too risky cuz if i move around too much or try to do anything that flexes my chest muscle then i lose pressure and i have to start over. it took me a while to get the hang of it. also, i use the large contoured. they’re a good size for me but if they were even 1cm bigger i’d have to get chest expanders. hahaha, that was a joke. and i still use my rubber bands to bring them together and from drifting away from my midline. my 1¢. hope this helps. good luck. other girls here may have more help to give than me. also, there's the noogleberry forum.
