I have both the regular L cups and the contoured L cups. 
Depth wise, the contoured ones are huge and the regular ones are obviously much smaller but I find the contoured ones "stick" more to my skin. Are your breasts wide, Ella? Not sure if you remember one of my older threads but the regular L cups were too small for me (after pumping, the rim marks were inside my breast instead of being around my breast). My breasts are rather wide though.

Yeh cant believe im even considering noogle!
Ok yes i have large contoured too with the foam ring, i keep loosing suction though which i think is more the fault of the unit not the cups..
I am wide yes and breasts, i actually measured around 5" wide each breast. Well IF i order a new unit il get one with airlock and il still be able to use my large contoured.
Lucy from Noogle is going to email me a suitable cup size based on my measurements but hey they only do M and L Etc so itl have to be large! 
That is a worry though what you said last line...I dont want that happeneing to me too..
