i'm really excited about this new product that i got and i especially wanted to share it with you guys. i have only used this cream on my chest for less than a week and ALL of the scarring, blisters, welts and rashes have gone away! i can BARELY see them anymore and this also helped me prevent any future blistering.
i was always bummed out about the rashes and blisters i got from using brava that it made me dread putting them on so when i saw a link on this on the other brava blogspot i decided to give it a try. i was using neosporin, benadryl cream, hydrocortisone cream and none of them were doing anything. when i got corium 21 in the mail i was so excited to put it on and in just one day all the little bumps were gone and after 3 days the scarring was going away too. i usually don't like to advertise products unless it works and believe me, this thing works!! another tip i got off the other blog was to NOT take a shower before putting the brava on because it makes your skin dry and it causes more friction with the domes due to the suction which causes the blistering. i still use the skin prep because it gives an extra layer of protection and helps the domes stick to your skin. hope it works for you girls!

I must confess I don't understand why taking a shower would make your skin dry. Maybe it's just me, but my skin does not feel drier after a shower, it actually feels softer and moister.

I guess it all depends on what you use in the shower and whether you have 'hard' or 'soft' water. just depends. i have been using a corticosteroid cream. its getting rid of all my marks. good luck!

i'm sorry, i worded it wrong. showering does not make your skin dry but it does strip your skin of the natural oils your body works so hard to produce.
brava recommends that you shower right before you put the system on. i did that the first 3 weeks but caused me to get itchy rashes and blisters all over my chest. so i decided to try something different and not shower before putting the system on (btw, i shower every morning and apply the corium 21). since then, its been 3 weeks of doing this and i have not gotten a single rash or blister.
