NG dome vs. Brava dome

Before I go ahead and order two NG domes, I am wondering if someone could tell me if the different shape really makes a difference.

I have an old set of Brava domes I could rip the silicone rims off of. But, it looks like the hard edge might be pretty sharp. I can't tell. I also notice they are a different shape than the NG domes.

I want to try NG along with Brava - either before my Brava session, or to do a little boost during the summer when we will have a house guest living with us and I will have to do my Brava hours (I don't want to hibernate in my room for 12 hours, so I will probably have to reduce to 10 hours/day and then supplement with NG)

So - does the shape of a medium NG dome create a different type of swelling, or will I get the same effect with a rimless Brava dome?

I've got no idea Roakie. It's hard to tell. One of the girls here did it and seems to be happy with it. I guess if what you're hoping for is to get some growth closer together, it may work. If you've got a useless old pair, there's no harm in trying. Make sure you use plenty of moisturizer!

I agree, there's no harm in trying if you don't still need the domes. Noogleberry domes are perfectly round and the mediums are probably a little smaller than rimless Brava domes, but not sure. I think I remember they are 12mm across. The one thing I would wonder is if the Brava domes are reinforced enough at the rim to take the pressure without cracking if there is no silicone there to spread out the force. Cracking happens even with NB domes sometimes. But if you used a cut up yoga mat or the Blue-tac that some ladies on the NB site have had success with, maybe that would help.
Good luck, it will be interesting to know if it works.

Thanks to both of you! I think I will order two of the NG domes for now. I thought I might try the Brava dome simply because when I ordered the pump, it took about 3 weeks to get here. But since I am in no rush, maybe I will order them to see how they might make a "different shape" breast! Plus, they look much lighter in weight which might be nice.

This should be an interesting experiment. I will keep you all informed.

How are both of you doing in progress with Brava, by the way?

oh Roakie,
I'm having a setback. I accidentally left my domes in a hotel room hours away, and had to miss a night. My breasts look even smaller than they were if that's possible! My husband left at 4.30 am this morning to travel back to get them. Needless to say he hates the things now, and is convinced it's a scam and doesn't work! He is turned off me sexually too, always seeing me in the stupid looking things. He's trying to convince me to stop. I'm only a month in, so can't really expect growth, but try explaining that to him!!! I gave myself blisters a week ago, so I've been plastered in ugly scar bandaids since then. Not very sexy, apparently. I keep telling him it's only a couple of more months, but he loved the way I USED to cuddle him at night, and misses it.

Hi, tr1gger!

What a sweet husband, driving back to get the domes. My husband would do the same thing!
I am fortunate that my husband is very supportive of me wearing these domes. I guess after staying home to raise 3 children to adulthood and being married 27 years, he figures this is my chance to work on myself. I hate wearing these frickin things, but I am determined to give it my all.

Plus, the misery I have felt these last few years with no breasts has really taken its toll. I am not just the normal, small-breasted women. I have nothing. So, I know he is supporting me for myself - not for him. He has never once been turned off by me and my breast size. And to be honest, I was perfectly happy with my breasts until the last few years when menopause hit and I lost every bit of superficial padding on my upper torso, leaving rib bones exposed.

Dont' be discouraged. I can't remember how small-breasted you started out, but it was likely bigger than me.

I started noticing more actual retention at about week 20! I know that is hard to hear but that is me. My age and thinness and lack or hormones after menopause are a big factor.

I ordered Goat's Rue extract from Motherlove and have been taking them for about 5 weeks. I ordered the noobleberry pump which has provided more suction. I got serious about chicken feet soup and the thick collagen broth 2 weeks ago. Then I added massage before I put on the domes at night starting last week.

These four things are what I believe is finally making Brava work for me. I am getting far more swelling and more retention by the time I put the domes back on each night. I still have twenty-four weeks to go, and I will do it so I don't look back and feel I didn't give it my all. Then I will supplement with noogleberry.

I don't see anything wrong with you taking the domes off for an hour or so each morning to cuddle and have some romance. Then, stick them back on for another 2 hours when your husband leaves for work. That should still work just fine. And, you hubby will probably start anticipating this morning escapade and start actually liking the domes since he can look forward to you taking them off!!!!

P.S. One thing that StacyEllen told me is what has really kept me going......She said to remember that growing breasts takes patience. We are growing new tissue "drop by drop" and it is not going to happen quickly. Hang in there, tr1gger. He is not going to divorce you over this! There are some times we just HAVE to do something for ourself. I will be here with you all the way, cheering you on! don't give up.

Thanks Roakie, you have me giggling here, imagining us all here plastered in our domes slowly growing breasts! It was nice to get some encouragement. It's pretty discouraging when you've been so diligently doing it for what SEEMS like ages, and you are faced with the fact that it's not done anything yet! I also wondered if my missed night caused me to be back to day one?! Oh God no!

Anyway, husband made it back from the five hour drive, domes in hand, and not too worse for wear. I admit I'd stopped taking the domes off for morning cuddles, (got swelling greedy!!), and that might be when a bit of resentment set in! Thanks for reminding me.

wow, this is no easy challenge for any of us...yet I believe it will be worth it in the end, if only to know we tried our best and not to have to wonder! I'm a tiny bit discouraged at the moment too, just because it has been almost 9 weeks and when I left the domes off for about 14 hours a few days ago, there was little measurable retention to speak of, it almost seemed like at the end of 10 weeks which is when I have to stop for now, there will be little or nothing. Yet there is some fullness even if not measurable, and my old bras did feel tighter even after the 14 hours. So, maybe this time around I will have to be content with that, and hope for more next time.
Still taking some minimal herbs but not using Ro-bust cream at the moment, I thought maybe it wasn't helping with skin. I will probably go back to that after I finish this course of Brava.
Good luck ladies. Your husbands sound like sweethearts.

I hear you molehills. I think it's going to be a longer journey for most of us than we secretly hope when we start. I had imaginings of being a 'fast responder' (even though the statistics weren't in my favor), and the truth setting in after all the effort and dedication is a bit of a blow. I think I'm similar to Roakie in that my pectoral muscles show signs of growth as there's a bit of a bulge above the breast where there didn't use to be, but so far no actual breast tissue growth which is what I'm really hoping for as the larger pecs show signs of altering the nice perky shape by pushing the nipple downwards (or more like straight out) slightly. I guess it's filled in a bit where the upper emptiness created a bit of a ski jump. So long as the breast tissue eventually catches up it won't be a problem. Otherwise I could have done fifty push ups a day instead...

Anyway, early days for me, and for you too, molehills. I know you when you started the ten weeks you knew it was a bit of a longshot that much growth would occur, however it's the hope that get's you! It's good that you can notice something, as apparently that's how it starts out. Many women only noticed some retention around week 17. I'm sure that when you do another cycle you're body will be ready to respond more readily, and you've probably set yourself up for some good growth.

Will you be able to noogle perhaps for a half hour a day, just to keep things going?

thanks tr1gger...well, certainly I hope you're right about responding better next time. I won't be able to noogle as I'm going on a trip with my boyfriend and I don't want him to know about it yet...anyway I let go of my NB cups a little while ago. It will be fine...I'll continue with Ro-bust and some herbs and massage anyway.
Just to add to what I said before, to put things into perspective from someone who would love to be happily married, it's way more important that you both have such loving husbands than to have big boobs anyway! So no matter what, you have plenty of reason to feel goodSmile
