Happy Holidays!
Stopping by with a quick update and a tip.
I've had to change my pumping hours again because the bigger breast started outpacing/out swelling the smaller one despite the 2 hour difference in pumping.
I'm now doing 11 hours on the bigger breast and the full 14 on the smaller one. Hoping this is the last adjustment until I finish.
I also want to reiterate what others have said about drinking enough water/fluids while pumping.
I had some menstrual pain last week and took some pain pills early morning. I guess I didn't eat or drink enough to take them because I ended up vomiting the pills and everything in my stomach at least 4 times. I was too nauseous to eat or drink anything the rest of that day. Since the domes were still on, I didn't bother to remove them early due to pain and weakness. I did take them off after my session in the afternoon, but the swelling was much less than usual.
By the next day, I was fine and eating/drinking normally. When I took off the domes I had normal, ample swelling.
Moral of the story is to stay at last minimally hydrated everyday while pumping. I think I get the full recommended 6-8 cups of liquid daily from eating and drinking, but I don't consciously try to get more on top of that. This seems to be enough for me to get a lot of swelling and increased swelling.
Something to keep in mind.
