Bad experience

I had a bad experience with Brava. The main problem i had was that i had no growth whatsoever. I bought the system from Harley Medical Group who of course are saying that i didn't wear the system correctly and i am still in dispute with them after going for my final appointment in september. The service i have received from them has been absolutely appalling. A letter i wrote in October took 5 months to be replied to even though i was calling every other week. I was sold a faulty smartbox (the brava computer that basically works it) so of course the data will show i wasn't wearing it correctly). That coupled with the sheer torture of wearing it and having to put my life on hold for five months as well as many other points means that i wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. If you are desperate enough to gamble £2000 as i was then just be prepared for physical and mental agony. Avoiding the Harley Medical Group would also be a good move.

I've had just the opposite - I'm wearing Brava and it's all going really well! The Harley Medical Group doesn't sell Brava anymore - I don't know why - but it's now sold directly from the Brava company. They are really helpful and everything has been fairly easy. I've breast fed so I was told I would respond quite well and so far I have been doing! I've worn it for 16 weeks, and I've gone from an A to a good B - I know I've got to wear it for longer to maintain the growth but I'm so happy with it I'll wear it till Christmas if I have to! It is a complete hassle having to wear them for such a long time but if it means I don't have to have surgery then it's worth it!

(no login) Buy in America? March 15 2006, 9:51 AM
In Brava Us, you can buy it for cheaper price, its $1195 only, I think im going to buy it from the US then ask my relatives to send it here for me. So I can save quite a lot of money ( then its not that expensive to try).
I really want my breast to be natural. So I think its worth trying brava. Just wonder if you can wear the brava bra while your cooking or going around the house?
Anyone else got bad/good experience with brava?

(no login) Brava smartbox March 16 2006, 8:01 AM
My experience with Brava has also been unhappy. The smartbox never seemed right from the beginning and after 3 weeks it broke down completely and won't turn on at all. I can't describe how bitterly diasppointing it is. I have been told that I'll get one that actually works but I have no idea how long it will take to arrive in the UK. 3 weeks of sleepless nights, back ache, and itching for nothing. I'm back to square one, and will have to start all over again. A word of advice to anyone thinking of trying Brava, don't expect much help or sympathy when anything goes wrong! Your custom is not valued and the high price you pay does not include getting decent customer service.

(no login) Bad experience w/ Brava March 16 2006, 10:30 AM
I had a bad experience w/ Brava. The system sounded great, so I ordered it for $1000. They were very helpful while I was getting used to the system; however, when I started reporting problems, everything changed. I used the system for only a week because I developed a very bad rash, and then blistering, from which I still have scars 2 months later. I called the coaching team, and they told me this was normal, and to try to put the domes on differently and whatnot, but no matter what I did, I ended up w/ terrible skin irritation. Also, the gel-like seal on the domes began to wear down (peel off and leak) after just a few days. They also told me this was normal. Finally, I decided to return the system, and this was when the customer service team became very abrupt with me. The paperwork I received with my kit said that if I used the kit, I would receive a refund less a $250 disposal fee. However, when I returned the kit, they told me that if my black carrying case was not in good condition, they would deduct another 20% . . . now, please note: the carrying case is made of CARDBOARD! Then, on another call, I was told that if I used the skincare system, they would deduct another $60. I sent my system back 1-1/2 months ago, and have still not received a refund. I was initially told that I would receive a credit within 20-30 days. Today, I was told I was given the wrong information, and that it actually takes 6-8 weeks to get a check in the mail. Each time I've called, they've told me that they haven't received my kit. Only when I tell them that I have a Fedex delivery confirmation do they say, "Oh, okay, yes we did receive it." Their story keeps changing everytime I call , and I'm worried I will NEVER get my refund. I don't know whether or not the system works because I didn't use it for very long, but their customer service level is so poor that I regret ever purchasing from them.

(no login) Another negative Brava experience March 17 2006, 8:35 AM
I used Brava about three years ago when it was relatively new. The Smart Box seemed to work all right, only broke down once. But the suction cups kept slipping off during use, and on top of that I developed a horrible blistering and rash where the two cups met in the middle ("cleavage" area for those who actually have a cleavage). However, I persevered, and wore the apparatus for a full 17+ weeks. This was a very long time to put my life on hold, which is what truly has to happen when you look like a circus freak 10-12 hours every day.
Two weeks after I gave up the Brava, I discovered that when all the swelling subsided I was left not only with the same exact size breasts I had prior to usage, but I also was saggier from having had the deflated sacs pulled on for 17 weeks! The blistering also caused permanent scarring on my chest, and I now have stretch marks near my underarms...something I never dreamed I'd develop after having already been through pregnancy and breastfeeding without stretch marks.
Brava was a sheer waste of time and money, plus now I have "battle scars" as well. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone (unless I had a score to settle).
