NEWBIE: Bad Symptoms With PM, Need help & Advice!!
#4

I experienced the same symptoms you had when I increased pm dosage to 300 mg a day from 200 mg (I take Siriporn pm; every pill is 100 mg) when I was on day 5-8 of cycle 2 of taking Siriporn pm. Nausea, diarrhea, headaches, sensitivity to light and smell, and etc. I decreased to 200 mg on day 9 (cycle 2) and symptoms persisted. I decreased again to 100 mg on day 10-11, and finally on day 12, I stopped pm completely. all the above symptoms disappeared on day 12, and from day 12 to day 27, I just used Robust pm cream and noogled (noogleberry). Aside from the horrible symptoms above, I saw increased swelling in noogling, overall fullness, and increased tingling even without taking the pm pills and just using pm lotion on days 12-27.

I believe I just had too much estrogen on those days 5-8 in my system. I take my bbt daily, and it wasn't until day 9 that I had a spiked in my temperature, which signalled my ovulation. So, in my 3rd cycle, I took the 300 mg Siriporn pm dose on days 7-11, and I didn't even have any symptoms. I lowered dose to 200 mg (my usual dose) on days 12, and on day 13, I stopped since my bbt charting reveals a drop in temp., which means I released an egg and ovulated. True enough, on day 14 my bbt spiked up way above 98.3, signalling the start of my luteal phase.

I have to thank Ginnie for advocating bbt (basal body temperature) daily. It really helped me to see what's happening inside my body every day. Now I know that I am not progesterone deficient, since my bbt spiked up high enough to signal a temp shift that differentiate the follicular and luteal phase.

I would just lay off pm, and take pm from day 1 to day 15, and stopped until day 1 of your next cycle. Better still, I know how cumbersome and inconvenient it can be, but bbt daily charting will really help you when to start and stop pm.
