Hi AndreaMichelle,
I prefer hops as a phyto-estrogen, but I take it at night because it makes me sleepy. And I balance it with maca, because without maca, I get depressed on hops.
PM lengthens cycles. On bcp, Run.Rabbit found a schedule that works. For a natural cycle, only Susan (beachbumbythesea) got two of the same length so far, but they were 36 days.
There are other phyto-estrogens: yellow dock and sheep sorrel are phyto-estrogen only. GNC carry a yellow dock tincture. Panax ginseng is estriol only, so it must be taken with 1-4 hour intervals, or topically, because estriol metabolizes fast. Red clover is 50/50 phyto-estrogen/phyto-progestin. Licorice is both phyto-estrogen and phyto-progestin too, and anti-androgen, and it increases prolactin. It's a complete program all by itself, but as soon as you need to tweak it, you need another herb.
