I wanted to share my experience traveling by plane with Brava. I know prior to leaving I was very worried about 2 things. First was ruining the tacky rim of the dome, second was getting a bomb squad looking into my suitcase. Well, the rims are fine, but.... On my first airplane ride, I took the cardboard dome supports, packed them in the suitcase (padded with some clothes), placed the domes (separately in each of the cardboard supports) and the placed ziplocks full of underwear into each dome (to keep it from collapsing and to save space). I covered the tacky portion of the dome with a gallon sized ziplock.
This worked very well for keeping the domes safe, but I definitely got my suitcase searched by a very curious TSA agent, who was apparently very concerned about the panty shrapnel. Anywho, on the way back I was able to not get searched. Here is what I did. I cut 3 ziplocks into individual squares (by panel) with 6 squares total. I used 3 panels per dome to cover the tacky surface but so that I could still stack them. I stacked one in the other. Put a dress into the top one, and padded that with clothes in the suitcase. NO problem second time around.
