I'm new here, but I've read posts saying maca has helped people gain weight by stimulating their appetite and people would gain in the hip and butt area. Start off with 2,000mg/daily and add 1,000mg every week until you're taking 6,000mg/daily and start back at 2,000 mg and repeat. If you get estrogen dominance symptoms, cut back on the maca.
