Hi Petitemomma!
Sorry I can't really answer your question directly, but I was looking into herbs to help stop smoking recently for a friend. And I know there might be a few herbs out there that could be helpful both for NBE and quitting smoking.
Avena Sativa (aka. Oats) supposedly reduces nicotine cravings and balances mood. Works against nervousness, fatigue, anxiety. And Isabelle has used it in her program. I am unsure what the exact effect of it is, though here and here she has mentioned it, as both a phyto-estrogen and an androgen ("(because it decreases SHBG, releasing free testosterone)"). So if you want to stick to PM, oats might not be a good choice since it might compromise the effects of PM. Though I have read some on the board got growth spurts from using PM and the phyto-estrogen hops.
I don't know if that was any help at all. Maybe somebody else could have use for it. At least that's an idea, to use herbs that are beneficial to NBE and quitting smoking. Might take a little research though
