I'd just like to add as a side note on black cohosh, (I'm currently researching for a paper at school on menopause supplements and learning something about NBE at the same time
), that it doesn't seem to have any estrogenic effects, as stated in your link there Isabelle, but studies have shown that it is somewhat effective for treatment of hot flashes and mood through stimulation of serotonin receptors, and so that's probably why it is used for menopause etc and has been thought to be estrogenic previously. Yeah, probably not so useful for NBE though.
