Okay, hi guys, I am new to this forum, and basically I have a hormone imbalance. I'm testosterone dominant, and I was wondering if I were to somehow balance my hormones, would there be a chance that my breasts could grow? I feel like they are underdeveloped, and have not had a chance to properly develop since I've always had an irregular period. I am 16 and I started my period a few days before I turned 13. I also have not gotten a period for probably 11 months... I am now on progesterone pills, and nothings happened yet. Idk, this is all very stressful, and I don't feel like a girl anymore, and I have no idea what to do, and what will happen to my body, any advice ladies?

Normally, I'd tell a 16 year old to just go away, but you do sound to have a legitimate problem. Do you have exact numbers for just how high your testosterone is? The solution for most women who have excessive T is to use Saw Palmetto and maybe a mint tea, spearmint I think is the most popular. These are androgen blockers. There are others besides the mints for the latter, but generally they are not encouraged for use by women since they also can block estradiol.

The only way progesterone is going to block testosterone is if it also blocks estrogen... This is the LAST thing you want. Is your progesterone also low? How's your estrogen? It'd be incredibly useful to know the number results of your test.

Also... You most probably have a doctor. Talk to them about your concerns, and if you do try anything, tell them about what you are taking and how much. Hopefully they are a doctor that understands the benefits of natural medicine. But even if not, it's always best to be monitored and controlled by a medical professional.
