We should all just start doing water displacement to measure cup size! (of couse, adjusting for the band)
Strangely enough, both the method posted and the traditional add 4 or 5 inches work pretty well for me.
Mine fluctuate between 8.5-9" on the right and 9-9.5" on the left. In 32 bands I can wear between a c and a d cup, depending on the style of bra. It really does go to show how much shape can affect bra size! My breasts are wayyy smaller than both Doll and Emily Loretta, even though the measurement is similar!
I have 24.5/25" under the bust; Using the +5" method I would be in a 30dd, which is usually the size I need. I would NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS be able to wear anything smaller than a 28. EVER. I'd be curious to see if others with bony ribs like mine have similar experiences or completely different!
