Oh, wow! You only pump for 10-15 seconds and you get the bee-stung look? That probably has something to do with you just starting out. When your lips get more "used to" the suction, they will be less over-the-top sensitive. So for now, the best advice I can give you is to just play with it until you find what works best for you! I had to play with it for a while. How long have you had the Jolie Lip Plumper for now?
And yes, where I am right now with my Jolie Lip Plumper is that I hold it for about 2 minutes at a medium-strong (NOT the absolute strongest, but close to it) suction. That is what works for me. But that may now work for you right now, and that's ok! It's important to just know what works for YOU!
Now that you mention it, I do remember that for about maybe the first month, I too got the bee-stung look no matter what I did
I really do think it is a matter of getting used to it. And yes, the bee-stung look I warmly welcomed also because it was an improvement to the shot glass! And please do keep in mind that the obvious difference between the center of your lips (which as being pumped) and the sides of your lips (which aren't) are more defined and obvious now while you are still getting used to the Plumper, just as the bee-stung look is unavoidable now as your lips are still not used to the pumping.
And I do not know how to explain it, but now that I am very comfortable with the Plumper and know what best works for me, there is a very natural slope from the corner of my lip to the center, so perhaps there is something that I am doing that is allowing the sides of my lips to be pulled a little, too. I don't know
All I know is that you just need not be worried about something like that so soon! And is that youtube video of which you speak the one that is digitized and not even using real people? Haha, don't go off of that, for ANYTHING! Simply because they are not real people
And you did get my note about puckering your lips before putting on the suction? Either way, if it works or if it doesn't for you, again I will say not to worry about getting perfect results just yet because that will come with time for two reasons: 1) your lip tissue needs to get used to it, and 2) YOU need to get used to it, familiar with it, and know the best ways to use it FOR YOURSELF since everyone is different. I gave you the tips of what I do to get my desired results, but that is after a couple months of using it already! So do not be discouraged, and just have fun!
Quick Edit: I forgot to add that I also do a quick pumping action with my lips up against the device before I let it hold suction. I think on the third squeeze is when I finally let it hold suction... never on the first squeeze. Play with that too and see what works best for you! Remember to keep an open mind when using this...
