What do you ladies use to get your omega 3 intake? What kind do you think is the best one?
I use to use flaxseed oil, but hated this, very slimy and oily to swallow.
I then changed to milled flaxseed, which I sprinkled on my breakfast and yoghurt at dinner, but didn't like it. I took it for quite a while, but had to give up, I just didn't enjoy my food.
I've looked online and found they do Flaxseed Oil in capsule form. They also do Cod Liver Oil and Fish Oil capsules. But which is the best? And are the capsules just as good as the oil and milled flaxseed? How much mg per day should you take to get the best/most out of it?
Thank you so much ladies
Fish oil is the best source of bio-available omega 3 (epa & dha as opposed to ala, which is in flax). I get the one from myprotein - it has the highest levels of epa & dha that I could find. It seems to be free of vitamins, minerals and heavy metals and it says you can take 1-3 capsules a day so I take 3.
