I don't currently have a good camera to take pictures with, hopefully that will be remedied soon. I don't intend on going crazy with the measurement tape. Fluctuations are inevitable and for the most part I want to play it by eye.

Hey, good luck with your program! I decided to start out simple as well, and so far I've had good results.

You should at least take pictures from the front and the sides with whatever camera you have now. You don't have to share them with anyone, but I think it will be important for you to know exactly how much progress you have made.
