It's very exciting! I still live with my parents, but I have plenty of privacy, so it works out nicely.

Ha ha, I think we posted at the same time in each other's threads!
Yes, I have a lock, and it gets used often now that I've started my NBE journey! Hee hee. Okay, it's fine. We've had tornado weather here before, so I can imagine what it must look like.

Hey BB, maybe you have used to much pressure or did you use the pump for too long without "in between massages"? Did you seal the vacuum with the tiny green thing at the end of the cups? As someone else wrote (on another thread) that she was not able to hold the vaccum and had to pump with so much pressure as otherwise the cups would fall off her chest. I asked here if she pushed down the green little thing (lol I don't know how to call it) to seal the vaccum and she did not. I normally use light to medium pressure and always seal the vaccum. I also take the cups off after 10 minutes and then massage for 2-3 minutes, then continue... Never had any ring marks.

You could use some toilet paper/tissue to cover your areola and then tape over them. Then your nipples and areolas would be protected and you could still tape them down.

Tornadoes scare me, too, ugh. But we've been lucky to never have one come too close to us. I'm sure what you're going through is way worse than anything we've experienced! I can't believe you're brave enough to chat with us and take photos while it's going on. I'd probably be cowering in the basement and praying. Nerves of steel, you have!

Thanks so much for the tips, peggy. I was goofing around with them more than anything, getting used to them and experimenting, so I did a combo of holding the seal with the vaccuum and using the green things. I did stop every 10 minutes and did chi rotations and lathered back up with cream and oil. I have terrible, bad quality skin that marks up easily, unfortunately. Still, I do think I used too much pressure at times, as I was kind of testing my limits. I know better now and will use less pressure and will always use the green airlocks!
Thanks a bunch.

Oh my word! Neat idea! Thank you very very much. I'll try it the next time I pump.
Also, happy to report that my marks have almost faded completely! I have to get in good light and search for them before I see them. Whew. I'm still going to wait to for them to be gone completely before I pump again, though. Way too paranoid now.

Yes, green
airlocks that was the word I was looking for, lol.
It's great to hear that the ring marks have faded. Yay!

I'm assuming that's what they're called! The manual they come with doesn't name them. I stole that term from the Noogleberry forum (which has been very helpful in prepping me for using these, I must say). We'll just say that's what they are to make things easier.
