FAQ-What's the Ultimate NBE Plan?

#51

I'm not a big fan of goji berries themselves so I try to find a high quality powder extract. But both are really high in amino acids so I guess we may need to be mindful of overdoing it :s If I have my bee pollen I forgo my multi vits just in case. EEk I also take protein powder. My goodness, I should be growing out in all directions right about now lol

I am looking into starting White Peony. Would you replace spearmint with it or take both? Is there a peony root extract that you recommend? I am assuming the root extract is more efficacious than the white peony tea.

There are a bunch of peony extracts available through Amazon, but I am not familiar with any of the brands and so am reluctant to pick one.

Thanks for any advice on the subject.

Hi spanky,

If you do a search for "white peony for 5 alpha reductase", surprisingly the best option is this:
http://www.ehow.com/list_7362128_chinese...fects.html

And for $2.69 per box
http://www.swansonvitamins.com/triple-le...-20-bags-s

$21.66 for 6 boxes
http://www.amazon.com/Triple-Leaf-Tea-White-20-Count/dp/B000LKXZKQ/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1396365537&sr=8-8&keywords=white+peony

Or this one, but I have yet to try it, it's a secure ordering site and it's organic.

This is the dilemma that I faced when trying to source WP, I wanted a reliable trustworthy retailer, at first I went with Reishi from Swansons because of those issues. And then I found that Swansons had WP in a tea and tried it. It's a little bitter, so if it's your first time dealing with WP, I'd say try the tea for $2.69, get 2 boxes btw. As far as extract form, yes it would be the stronger option, but how would you take it?, meaning in a drink, sublingual?, don't forget about the alcohol content in extract form, Good luck!

FYI for NBE'ers,
Something to think about before you sink big bucks on a big order of something unproven to yourself. Find the smallest quantity available and then experiment, or if you think buying in bulk is better and then decide it's not what you want, then return shipping is hassle and ends up costing you more $$$$, your call though.

Thanks Lotus!  I just ordered 2 boxes of the tea.  Would you suggest taking both the WP tea and spearmint capsules at the same time?

Good question spanky,

White Peony--Estrogenic, blocks 5ar and pro-aromatase - Strong.
A compound found in white peony inhibits the production of testosterone and promotes the activity of aromatase, which converts testosterone into estrogen.

Spearmint-anti-androgenic properties reduce the level of free testosterone in the blood, while leaving total testosterone and DHEAS unaffected.

To me spearmint might lessen the effects of WP if taken at the same time, you could spread it out throughout the day or alternate every other day. In other words, I'd say you'd be the best to judge the effects of each on your overall well being, if you notice any new sensations in growth or heaviness then progress is being made. Big Grin

Thanks - I think I will try alternating during the day as you suggest.  I can't wait until my tea arrives to give it a try.  I have been taking a few days off PM but plan to restart tomorrow morning.

Seems like white peony does what spearmint does, but more, wouldn't you agree? And can you take white peony along with PM since they're both estrogenic?
