Hello everyone! I am new here and should be getting Brava tomorrow! I'm very excited about it, and I am glad this forum exists so there are other people to talk to who can relate- I don't know anyone else who is unsatisfied to the point of doing Brava. I have a few aquantences who got implants, but I'm really not close with them. I also have one friend who had a reduction but that's not quite the same. So anyway I'm really happy to have found this.

I have a question for Brava users and I think this actually applies to others with pumps as well: how have you delt with bringing your pump on a plane? I would imagine that it would need to be checked. Anyone go on an international flight with one? Not wearing, but like packed. I'm afraid that if I bring it they will think it's a bomb or mess with it if they go through my luggage.

Hi, I've been using brava for 3 weeks now... I haven't travel yet with it but I'll be doing it at the end of the month... I don't think I'll have a problem with the pump since its pretty small and doesnt look like a bomb ... but the domes... I mean I have to take the whole box where they came in! and they can't be rolling around you know... it could be very embarrassing going thru security with the domes, but they are too precious for check in luggage :s lol!

I also will be traveling at the end of this month and would like to continue my regiment. I just got the system and I too will have to keep it in the box. I'm still not sure whether to check a bag, and buy insurance for it, or take my chances with a carry on.

It's also cool to find someone who started slightly before me! I will probably be on the forum a lot to read about the experiences of other people with Brava so I can know more what to expect. I'm also thinking about posting about my first day!

Somebody said in the noogle forum to pack everything separate, the tubes, the pump, the domes, etc so even if the see it they wouldnt be able to figure what it is if they only see part of it... does it make sense?? I'll call my coach to ask her what can I wrap the domes in... For example, I read somewhere that saran wrap is not good for the silicone of the domes
I just posted my stats in the program section of the forum if you want to see it. I'll update it soon. I'm definitely seeing progress although I'm sure it's still all swelling but it gives you a preview of what's to come... and it's nice ...

A couple of tips... take it easy for the first 2 weeks... I thought I could handle more so I went for 17 hrs and ended up with blisters the brava coach told me to take a day off and start fresh (from zero)...What?!! You mean the last 5 days didn't count?! I don't think so Lol... And something else... if you ordered the skin treatment you will get some prep wipes make sure you wait 10 min for your skin to dry before putting the domes on, that will reduce the irritations..it's all about the skin... al least in my case...otherwise I'll wear the brava all day

That sounds like a good idea- to pack everything separate. However I, too, am concerned about the domes, and not sure what else I could put it in besides the brava sport box with the cardboard rack. Maybe I could wrap the box like a birthday present? I don't know. Also, thanks for the advice too about waiting two weeks before going longer than 10 hours. Unfortunatly during the week, I have only gotten 8 and a half or nine hours each day. I guess it will take me a little longer. I had a little mark on my inner left right breast so today and last night I've been putting the right dome first even though I'm right handed to ensure that the edge doesn't go right on it thus irritating it further. And today I put some hydrocortizone cream with aloe on it when I got home from work, and I think it's healing pretty well. I don't know when your trip is but mine is in two weeks- I will post or PM you how it goes! BTW I think I'm probably going to go ahead and purchase a square trade warrenty first just in case there is any damage and brava won't cover it.

Haha I leave in two weeks too!... I don't know how the square trade warranty works... they pay you to get it replace or do they fix it? and how much is the smartbox by itself?

I've traveled a few times with my noogleberry. Just domestic flights. I've had it in my checked bags and my carry on and I didn't bother to disguise it. I had no problems. I only have the hand pump. I'd pack it so it won't get cracked.

I made it to my destination without any problems or damage! I put everything in my check-in bag; I flattened the Brava box and put it in the bottom of the suitcase, and I put each dome in its own ziplock bag and stored them stacked in the cardboard holders with my clothing around to act as extra padding, I put with sport box (without batteries) in bubblewrap in the same suitcase with the manual nearby. And of course I brought the accessories. I used a suitcase that is pretty stiff on the outside for protection as well. At the airport, I had one security issue but it had nothing to do with Brava: they randomly decided to extra- search me but making me go into that new scanner where they look at you naked! But all in all, no problems and no damage. From being in the plastic bags, the not-sticky side of the gel rims got slightly thinned but only at the outermost part, probably less than a quarter of a centimeter. But I'm wearing Brava now and it's been almost 12 hours, and there are no problems!

hopeful31- I ended up getting the square trade warranty; I believe it was around 119 for 3 years. I decided that because I may use Brava on and off and this was domes are covered as well it is worth it. Brava has an extended warranty for one year that is around $90, but does not cover domes.

SM- that's good to know, thanks! I am thinking about getting Noogleberry for an international trip so I'm glad to know it travels well!

Saw this thread late, but wanted to chime in. I had the fat transfer procedure with Dr. Khouri in April (I'd been wearing BRAVA since January, alternating between the LG and XLG domes, depending on whether I was using increased pressure with the hand bulb pump or just smartbox pressure).

Two days before surgery I had to fly from NJ to FL with BOTH sets and was TERRIFIED Homeland Security was going to take them (I didn't care about me, but don't touch my domes!!). I had one set in their box in a nylon laundry bag, which was my carry-on, and the other set in a standard size carry-on suitcase for my daughter to use as hers.

When it was time to go thru security, she disappeared so she wouldn't be embarrassed if it got pulled! Leaving NJ, about 5 security personnel gathered around the screen - I could see the domes on the TV! They stood there chatting about it, while I tried to look everywhere but. After about literally 10 minutes they let them go thru. Same thing happened on the way back from Miami, only this time there were maybe 7 or 8 security folks staring at them!

I did have all of the accessories in a zipped tote in the laundry bag. Along with the literature and DVD. That last week before the procedure you had to wear the domes 24/7, but there was no way I was going to risk going thru the body scanner with them on, especially since the recent reports of "exploding implants"!

Honestly, the fear of having them taken from me was far more stressful than all of my surgery worries!

I'm still on the fence about whether to take mine on vacation with me to mexico, especially now that the don't leave marks but somehow I seem to be a magnent for embarrassing moments at airports, so I'm wondering do I really want to tempt the fates yet again? Last trip to vegas my shirt set off the alarms, I got escorted to a back room and got to show them my before NBE AA's in an up close and personal manner. LOL, my group waited outside on me laughing their heads off since it's always me that gets stopped for one thing or another every time. Sigh, my luck they would open the suitcase and pull them out, hand them around for everyone to inspect and want details on what they are for.

I so want to take them with me, but I'm not sure my nerves could handle it.
