you're welcome. That research paper linked to at top is kind of confusing. I realized that it mentioned how bcp was both estrogens and (class) progesterones; and that cleared up my misconception that the paper had a conflicting result on progesterones. It takes me a long time to try to note the data from that paper. Skip to the abstract and the conclusion, I think that sums it up.

The day range is useful, but that varies too much for it to explain the significance of hormones.

I think I over complicated it by trying to look at all of the details.

For non-users of bcp:
Follicular: high prolactin, high IGF-1
Luteal: high progestogens, high but lesser estrogen, low androgens.

For users of bcp:
possibly similar to above, but specific hormones (LH, FSH, prolactin, estrogens, progestogens) for days 5-10 and 18-23 (both of these days are normally outside of ovulation). Also depending on the type of bcp. (Read the paper for bcp users.)

Hops raises prolactin and IGF-1 (lacking source). It's good during follicular.
Massage raises prolactin, and short intense exercise is supposed to raise IGF-1

Chasteberry is supposed to raise progesterone (lacking source), but lower excessive prolactin.

Pueraria M. I heard on threads is both estrogenic and progestogenic.

Aromatase is important for follicle maturation, ovulation and corpus luteum function, steroid hormone synthesis and the regulation of the conversion of androgens to estrogens. The biofeedback in the pituitary and hypothalamus rely on aromatase to regulate prolactin and GnRH. The daily dose for Paeonia is 4.5 to 9 mL of a 1:2 dried plant extract.

5α-Reductase inhibitory activity-guided fractionation of the EtOH extract of the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum (LEYSS.:FR.) KARST. I think that means it also lowers progesterone. It could be because it raises estrogen. through aromatase. Estrogens and progestogens lower each other. The rest of the quote was interesting about the active ingredient, about feedback and the dosage.

Corpus luteum is some form of the egg, I forget which. It is a temporary organ that produces progestogens, until menstruation.
